Ice Ice Baby vs Can't Touch This...
You can't get more early 90's hiphop/rap than that.
PedoJokerBear [Planeteer | Power of Gall Bladder] @ Oct 6th 2009 9:54AM
Snow - informer
GiggMan @ Oct 6th 2009 9:59AM

Wow taking back right there, making a note to download after work.

Pedo, what's truly sad is that I still remember what the lyrics are that go with your "oiksjdlfkahlfhas."
aerisplox @ Oct 6th 2009 6:27PM
LMFAO my cousin went to school with the DJ from Snow and he told me to listen to Informer... seriously i can't believe people listened to this stuff...
Ridgecity @ Oct 7th 2009 12:05AM
when Vanilla Ice said "Rockman lovers driving Lamborghinis" I felt gaming finally had made it mainstream...
kickmongwi @ Oct 7th 2009 2:06PM
I think this is great. Now maybe bedroom djs who suck will be just that! Bedroom djs who geek out on this game rather then trying to get a real gig and sound like an idiot on a proper sound sytem!!! I love that they have made this game!! Love it!
Banana Kid @ Oct 6th 2009 9:52AM
...Holy shit, the Shaft theme is in there?
I think this just became even more of a must-buy for me.
NexusSIX @ Oct 6th 2009 3:54PM
@ sonicspike41 where the heck on the internet, are we gonna find something like that?
Bobby Kotick 2: Echoes @ Oct 6th 2009 9:52AM
Man, this sucks. Who's in charge of this thing?
Tom Kalinske, CEO. @ Oct 6th 2009 10:25AM
I don't know, Bobby. Perhaps you could find out?
sonicspike41 @ Oct 6th 2009 10:30AM
If only there was some sort of international system of connected information that you could easily search through to find what you want. Some kind of international network of knowledge. Perhaps an encyclopedia that you could instantly search through from anywhere in the world at any time.
If only such a thing existed...

"Motörhead - "Ace Of Spades"
wat? I hate it when rappers/DJ's defile classic rock songs. I dunno if I should be more pissed at Activision or Lemmy for giving them the right to use it.
Archon (PSN: Archonik, XBL: DarkARHN) @ Oct 6th 2009 10:02AM
That's fine. Ace of Spades was included in every single rhythm game ever made. This song got raped so many times that it now looks like a donut.
Deezul @ Oct 6th 2009 10:27AM
I believe Aerosmith would have never "come back" if it weren't for Run DMC covering "Walk this Way."
tmacairjordan87 @ Oct 6th 2009 10:31AM
That's fine with me, Aerosmith is kind of awful

And the award for Most Consistently Self-Alienating Comments on Joystiq goes to...
ClarkyAC @ Oct 6th 2009 9:57AM
A healthy amount of Daft Punk :)
George McBain @ Oct 6th 2009 10:00AM
Herbie Hancock ... WIN!
That said, the Daft Punk inclusions REALLY have me interested, but then again, I pretty sure I am not going to pay $118 for this set up. Maybe when it comes down in price.
GiggMan @ Oct 6th 2009 10:22AM
I'm hoping for a Black Friday deal, getting it regardless though.
copa @ Oct 6th 2009 10:25AM
I agree, there's enough good stuff here to warrant a couple of play-throughs, but I'm not throwing down $120 on this.
I will pick it up off of Goozex in a few months when people get tired of it.
dark_inchworm (stronger than never, ever before) @ Oct 6th 2009 10:02AM
Can we get a version without Hollaback Girl or Paper Planes?
Troy Powers (PSN: TroyPowers) @ Oct 6th 2009 12:08PM
How 'bout a version with all the songs, but it allows you to choose which songs you play or don't play. That would be incredible. I'm writing a letter to Activision right now.
dark_inchworm (stronger than never, ever before) @ Oct 6th 2009 12:39PM
A good, if very tired, point.
I apologize, I just... I have an unnatural hatred for those two songs, and like everyone else, I feel that I must express my high-level opinion on the internet in order to ease my seething rage with the universe.
whymog @ Oct 6th 2009 1:31PM
If you hate those songs, you've never been totally hammered and danced to them.
dark_inchworm (stronger than never, ever before) @ Oct 6th 2009 1:35PM
Can't be messed up all the time. :'(
fyreblazer @ Oct 6th 2009 10:03AM
Gangstarr? Eric B & Rakim? Public Enemy? DJ Shadow? Masta Ace?!?!?!
Ok, shit just got real.
Troy Powers (PSN: TroyPowers) @ Oct 6th 2009 12:09PM
Right! I wasn't expecting any real hip-hop classics. But, this track list is pretty fucking sick. Only thing missing is Special Ed "I Got it Made."
umm....hello??? @ Oct 6th 2009 1:17PM
I was really hoping for "organ donor"
Christian @ Oct 6th 2009 2:29PM
Organ Donor is in the track listing
Fernando Rocker @ Oct 6th 2009 10:03AM
hehehe... DJs...
eNrique @ Oct 6th 2009 11:50AM
YEah, DJ's and better musicians than you.
Premature ejaculation man @ Oct 6th 2009 10:09AM
The cost of licensing and mixing these songs would have been huge
Troy Powers (PSN: TroyPowers) @ Oct 6th 2009 10:09AM
I'm going to be so ashamed of myself for buying this game...but I WILL be buying it!
Dirty @ Oct 6th 2009 10:16AM
Please don't feed the Kotick.
dark_inchworm (stronger than never, ever before) @ Oct 6th 2009 12:40PM
So if it shames you, why bother telling us?
Michael T [Planeteer | Power of Mr. T] @ Oct 6th 2009 3:02PM
Confrontation therapy, inchworm.
Barkley610 @ Oct 6th 2009 10:15AM
Are they planning on selling a cd wig thus music on it?? A soundtrack of sorts....
I'd be getting that for sure.
Dylan @ Oct 6th 2009 10:20AM
No RJD2
No Rob Dougan
No Danger Mouse
it's called DJ Hero?
Alex @ Oct 6th 2009 11:45AM
You have DJ Shadow, The Scratch Perverts, Cut Chemist and Daft Punk, they are like the Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Jeff Beck and Beatles of the Whole Dj thing.
Also: WHAT THE HELL, SOMEBODY RIP THE AUDIO WHEN IT COMES OUT!!!
and it needs Kraftwerk!
heckfu @ Oct 6th 2009 11:59AM
Yeah I'm with you man! Dougan is incredible and I love Danger Mouse but Daft is my favorite group of all time so I think the large amount of their stuff makes up for the lack or some others...Tiesto, Girl Talk?
Troy Powers (PSN: TroyPowers) @ Oct 6th 2009 12:12PM
Ummm...Grandmaster Flash is in this game. That means this game's DJ credibility is not to be questioned.
Durden @ Oct 6th 2009 4:58PM
Yeah I was disappointed in no RJD2 myself. I'll still pick this up on sale if the reviews are good enough though. Killer track list. I can't believe this is coming from Acti.
GiggMan @ Oct 6th 2009 10:20AM
Jay Z "Excuse me Miss" and Rick James "Give it to me Baby"
I'm digging this game a lot and nice going reaching out to other cultures. I know plenty of people aren't going to give this a try because of the whole demographic that this appeals to (and it's Activision) but whatever I'm going to enjoy it. I thought the same thing about GH/RB that they wasn't going to appeal to me and my family but we have jam sessions all the time.
I got introduced to a whole new (new to me) type of music with GH2 (the first music game that I bought) and have had a blast in the process. There is nothing cooler than having your 10 year old daughter singing Hotel California while your 7 year old is jamming (on hard difficulty!) on the guitar.
I can see the majority of Christmas morning being dedicated to this.
Troy Powers (PSN: TroyPowers) @ Oct 6th 2009 12:13PM
What he said.
ryanpaulmcgowan @ Oct 6th 2009 10:20AM
The only songs worth playing are the Daft Punk songs, and those have been spliced with some terrible songs, with the exception of one (I'll give you a hint. It's from a band that starts with Q and ends with ueen).
Sigh. They also had to add the only Daft Punk song that's not worth anything. Around The World? Why?
sonicspike41 @ Oct 6th 2009 10:27AM
Hey, I like Around The World. Combined with Bust A Move it could be a really great mix.
"Around the world just bust a move! If you want it, you got it. If you want it, baby you got it. Around the world just bust a move!"
Troy Powers (PSN: TroyPowers) @ Oct 6th 2009 12:14PM
Wow. I know taste in music is an opinion thing, therefore can't be right or wrong...but yours sucks.
