Microsoft: Avatar clothing changed 150 million times

Speaking at the First Annual Microsoft Open House in NYC, Robbie Bach, president of the company's entertainment and devices division, was touting the strength of the 360 platform. Along with the impressive news that the results of 425 million games had been crunched for matchmaking, Bach also said that Avatar clothing had been changed more than 150 million times. When you divide that by the 20 million Xbox Live users the company's claiming, that's ... more than 7 changes each. We're a bit worried about some of you.

Gang, please, keep your dignity intact: Set it once -- walk away. It's the only sane thing to do. Of course, Bach also said that 200,000 games of 1 vs. 100 were being played every weekend, so maybe you guys are just trying to get spiffed up for Chris Cashman. We hope it was worth it.

I selected a default male one and changed it to look like Agent 47 on the day of the update. Haven't changed it since, not likely to change it soon.

staying on topic, we've had buffalo chicken cheese steaks here in philly for years now. they are quite delicious. I can't say the same for subway though. they are essentially the McDonalds of hoagies or subs

I'm sure I've changed my clothes more then that since birth, yet you don't see microsoft reporting that! :D

Actually the circle of life isn't like that.

You see, the grass is eaten by the cattle, which is eaten by women and men. It defuses through their bodies and becomes poo again, which goes into the sewer, which goes into the sea.

It's then eaten by the plankton, which becomes food for the fish. And that fish with the poo still inside, swims up to the shore and gets eaten alive. Most likely by a bear that will poo in some sand and that will become the food for the land.

It's the poo of the antelope and the poo of the giraffe, It falls onto the earth, to make more blades of grass and that grass is eaten by the cattle, then it comes out the other end. And then it makes poo for the humans, starting all over again...

Watch the lion king disney film it will explain all...

I make my avatar belch at my wife unless she gets angry at me and leaves the room so that I can play GoW2 without her b****ing at me the whole time. ;)

Who says avatars are useless?

I change it monthly, if it must stay there, at least I can try to make it less boring.

And I set my avatar to shortest, slimest so it doesn't take up too much screen space. Seriously, why can't I turn it off? It's not a trademark or something capable of promoting XBOX brand

I have bought a couple $1 things (T-shirt, sneakers). $5 is ridiculous for the other stuff no matter how bad I want them (Clone trooper armor and lightsaber). Even if someone were to GIVE me the points for it, I don't think I would...

Microsoft, could you PLEASE tel Rare to update the avatar system so that we can change the colors on ALL the clothes and not just the "Power" icon shirt?

I'm sure that's a really pressing matter for both MS and Rare.

"Rare, please take a short break on whatever game you're working on. We're getting too many complaints about the color system on the avatars!"

I doubt Rare has anything better to do.

I can believe this, my girlfriend changes her avatar's cloths every time she loads up her 360 (she literally does this every time).
