Maybe my Mii needs to get a job if he wants to play this. I sure as hell won't be buying it for him.

So um... Playstation Home avatar support now?
Or at least Home awards? A few games support that... *Hughs his Home Galaga Arcade Cabinet*

I don't understand why so many Activision Wii games keep getting extra content right from the get go. Like MUA2 getting 3 characters that should have been in it anyway. (Who ever heard of the leader of the X-men not being in a game with several of the X-Men in it?)
Then this gets two extra Wii levels? I don't really care about it for Tony Hawk, but I don't like this trend.

Activision wants to get some of that sweet Wii audience $$, which they have been fairly successful at (Guitar Hero has done especially well). Extra content helps, especially for a platform where DLC is next to impossible.

I dunno, I don't think it's an awful trend.

When it comes to ports that are on the next-gen systems, everybody knows that they are not created equal. Wii isn't as strong graphically as the others, so what would be the incentive to buy for a consumer who has the Wii and another system? Or, taking those consumers out of the equation, what would be a reasonable addition to the game so people who have a Wii don't look at the other two platforms and feel ripped off or like they were given another cheap rush port?

I didn't know about the MUA2 thing, and perhaps better characters should have been in the default roster, BUT it is Marvel Ultimate Alliance, not X-Men. So that's kind of a moot point.

Pack-in extras may seem like a knife in the back now, but think about how easily you can get DLC, even if you have to pay for it. Now think about swapping SD cards for a while. Mmm, tasty.

This is a good sign because this is exactly what I wanted the Wii to do since launch with 3rd-party titles. I wonder if Guitar Hero 5 on the 360's ability to use avatars in the main game had any influence.

"Usually, motion controls are enough of an exclusive feature for a game's Wii version, but this time, of course, that isn't the case, and it looks like Activision has found interesting ways to compensate."

This is the effort put forward by nintendo's graphics team. My grandmother loves it. They love their her "wii bowling game player machine" at the assisted living condo.

Wow. So let's pump the realism angle with... Completely animated avatars!

Sometimes, just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

Example #1: Just because you CAN include Mii support in your attempt at a sim-skating game, doesn't mean you should.

Example #2: I like cheese, chocolate, ice cream, peanut butter, sour cream & onion pringles, nachos, yogurt, raisins, pizza, and manicotti. This doesn't mean I include them all into one meal because they're available.

Example #3: I like Jedi pre 2001. George had the ability to make an entire movie of them. He unfortunately did. The end result is fucking MIDICHLORIANS.

I actually found it amusing to watch pro boarders playing with the Mii version of themselves. Seeing them play it and have fun on the board is a great endorsement. No way I am paying that price though.

You know, that graphics look pretty good for a Wii game. Gameplay looks fun too. But with both this and DJ Hero, I really can't afford to get either one, as fun as they both look.
