The adorable art style of Capybara Games' PSN puzzle title Critter Crunch can't be contained within the boundaries of its own franchise. A recent post on the developers' blog shows off a number of doodles from the game's character artist, Nick "Qiqo" Stephan. These illustrations peer through temporal doorways into other worlds, where Biggs, the game's protagonist, was dressed in the skin of characters from other PlayStation titles. (Okay, it's less creepy than we just made it sound.)
Check out all 15 of these concepts after the jump -- we guarantee that you've never such a lovable Kratos. (Sackboy, eat your heart out.)

Lol, why was Solace downvoted? I didn't know, and now I do....

I dont know why people downvoted solace's first comment because the one that should have been downvoted was the second comment by solace. Why in the hell are people suddenly promoting fanboyism? Making an opinion based, deragatory comment about the other systems mascots isnt something that should be applauded. Idiotic, ignorant comments like that are nothing to be proud of. Fanboys are all the same, no matter what theyre mindlessly cheering for.

You don't know a THING about Gremlins. Mogwais multiply by water, they turn into Gremlins by eating after midnight.

I can't tell what 14 and 15 are supposed to be. Well, 14 might jsut be a homage to the 16 bit era.
Alove the Snake and SLy one too. The Okami one is okay, asis the Altair one. And GO Patapon!

Does no one else remember the movie Critters? Because that is what these damn things look like to me... and I don't like it.

Great, now I'm creeped out too. That movie traumatized me when I was six.

i also am creeped out now. but it's nothing to do with Critters. it's because of John Stamos staring at me up there. oh god, he can see my SOUL.

The article says the characters are from other "PlayStation" games - I thought Fez was only in development for the 360 as an XBLA title. Has that changed?

"Just to be super clear, we only added Fez in this batch because Fez is super cool, and we love Polytron, not because it is coming to PSN. Maybe we should have added more non- playstation characters….. sorry for the confusion! Peace and Love."

I was going to come to the comments to complain about no ICO or Wander(from SotC) figures, but then I saw the Second Colossus as a figure and fell in love. AWWWWWWWWWWWW

What the hell is with the sudden influx of Eureka 7 avatars on here? I've seen Renton, and now Stoner. Is this because the movie was shown across the country not too long ago, or are there some pretty hardcore fans? ('Cause pretty hardcore fans are cool too.)

@S. Tiger
I've had my E7 avatar since the day I registered on Joystiq(or sometime after, but definitely at least 2 years ago), so it has nothing to do with the movie. I've heard what Stoner does in the E7 movie, and frankly his actions there wouldn't make me a fan of him. I've always just loved his free hippie attitude, so laid back.
Now may I ask what your avatar represents? :)
