BF2 IS INDEED WAY over priced. BF2 basic costs 10 dollars which now includes all booster pack content free since the 1.50 update (SF is an expansion, not booster).
The Special Forces expansion is not worth twice the price of the full game. And Armored Fury/Euro Forces content is FREE with the 1.50 BF2 update, making those boosters pointless to pay for.
Just buy BF2 off of EADM for $10. Especially since SF doesn't run in BF2 like the booster content does (it launches its own exe meaning none of the maps are in regular rotation). It's absolutely worth $10.

The more games on steam the better.
Steam is easily my platform of choice
And before someone complains about how he only wants games on disc, relax, both distribution methods can co-exist.

Those this has nothing to with the article, I would like to see sites like Steam to distribute PSP games as downloads such as PSN, but that will never happen.

You CAN use Sony's Media Go to download PSP games to your PC, and then download from PC to PSP.

Hmm... Godfather for $10. Pretty cheap. Worth it? Or would I be better off with the enhanced Wii and PS3 ports?

godfather 1 is not a extremely good game, it´s kind of boring the missions are not extremely good and the city looked way more interesting in the trailer than in the actual game, i think is a poor´s man gta, but for 10 its ok.... you´ll have some fun with it. But it´s not a great game.

I'd say so. It's a fun little GTA clone and the city's really well designed.

I have the Godfather game for PC and I really didn't like it. I'm not a fan of GTA style games in general though, I just bought it because the Godfather is one of my favorite movies. So maybe if you like that gameplay it'll be suited for you.

Nah, I never cared for GTA or its ilk. Guess I'll just save the $10.

It would be cool if they put some of the older games from some of these series on Steam (MoH: Allied Assault, Battlefield 1942, C&C RA 1 and 2, etc).

Very cool although I just got the RA3: Commander's Challenge on XBLA so no sense getting the mini campaign on PC now for 20?! Maybe it will be a steam deal sometime haha.

I wonder if they fixed that issue with punkbuster kicking off servers when you run BF2 from Steam? On some servers, ones with good anti-cheat settings, you can get kicked for "illegal Overlay". I posted a bug report to Evenbalance but in the end they were not helpful.

What's the odds that they are US only?
My only real option for PC games is online, and so i haven't bought a number of recent EA/Ubisoft/Activision games because they're never available outside the US.
Oh well, it's forced me to explore more indie games and discover that the best games are the ones you've never heard of, but are usually made by some obscure bunch of russians.
Still... they are missing out on a lot of cash...
