IV is pretty good (much better than the FFIII remake, imo), though I'm not really all that far. I really need to get back to it and move on to V!

My guess is that it's because DQ6 has never been remade before.

DQ4 had been remade for the PlayStation by Heart Beat and Artepiazza, and all Artepiazza really did was port it to the DS and add a few small things here and there.

Artepiazza themselves had already done a remake of DQ5 for the PlayStation 2 with Matrix Software, so they already knew what to do with it, just rebuild it using the same engine as DQ4 DS.

Until its DS version comes out, DQ6 only exists as the 1996 Super Famicom version that Heart Beat developed. Artepiazza pretty much had to start from square one, since they weren't involved with DQ6's original development.
