PlayStation Network games are now available for purchase through Amazon.com, meaning Sony has joined Nintendo and Microsoft in offering its digitally distributed goods through the online mega-retailer. In some cases, the benefit of this middle-man purchase is avoiding those pesky sales taxes that several states place on goods bought directly through the PlayStation Network.
At the moment, we don't see any deals that jump out at us, but if you do, feel free to note 'em in the comments.
[Thanks, Jason]

Glad to see this, if I remember right they've had some decent deals with the Xbox side of it, so hopefully that will translate to the PSN side.

Do PSN (or any DD games for consoles) qualify for ECA discount?

now if sony would just allow us to buy things, queue up demos for d/l and communicate with friends, etc on our PC's like LIVE does, it would be great. I wonder why they haven't done that. I would certainly buy a lot more crap if i could do it at work when i am bored.

Right now, if you buy a certain psp-3000 core system or bundle, amazon will give you $15.99 in credit for the Playstation Network Store, applicable toward the download of a select number of game in the store. Sadly, Final Fantasy VII was not one of the eligible downloads listed.

Has anyone else been unable to buy certain DLC's on the PSN amazon? I couldn't find any of the Fallout 3 DLC. I'm wondering if there's more content not on Amazon

This is a god send for those of us without a "PSN compatible" credit card. Seriously Sony, I have an account with one of the big three in America and my card won't work?

So would this work for overseas? Could I buy a game or DLC from Amazon & then use it in a PAL market?

You can't use amazon gift cards to get the psn games. Fail.

So how does this work?
You buy the item on Amazon and then at the same time you also enter your PSN details and the game appears available on your PSN account?
Or do they give you a code that you can enter into your PSN account to download the game?

excuse me, i remember many people on these forums were calling for the end for umd.
i think psp go is a fantastic product, it is the what people have been talking and thinking about for years, and now sony has successfully implemented it.
if we look at how mp3 have evolved from physical media to mp3's, and now videos are beginning to take a similar route.
its all about timing, the right time is always debatable. if ps3 launched with a terebyte harddrive and used downloads only, it woldnt work, because the market is not yet ready to accept. however this maybe the case with the ps4.
sony are thinking ahead because concepts like the itunes store show the potential here.
the problems here are for the retailers. how do they make their money?...game shops profits are always software driven, game shops do not make much money from console sales at all. so if people are all downloading games of sony, retailers wont be making their money. so maybe they have to find a way to help these guys. maybe create some sort of digital download facility hub in the shop or something...i duno, their problem, not mine.
personally psp go is not for me, i have my original psp phat, works great for my needs...playing gran turismo psp (umd) at the moment...if i want to download games, i will have the option...but i respect the theory sony have proposed, it is definitely the way forward...weather it works or not, it will happen sometime...
