Crytek UK making original FPS

Studio manager Karl Hilton recently told Develop that the company is working on an original FPS. While the news is good on one hand (it's not Haze) it's also bad, because it likely means TimeSplitters 4 is either a long ways off or dead altogether.

Eh, after Haze I really could care less about these guys. I do miss the fun times had with Timesplitters though.

By George, that is quite possibly the sexiest fact I've ever tasted! All FPS games need arcade challenge scenarios, and Chasm is quite possibly my second favorite FPS map ever (after Facility on GoldenEye of course).

I missed the Chasm so much in TS3. It was a really good 3D maze o' death. The Airship in TS3 was still pretty cool, but Chasm still takes the cake.

Aaaarrgh, I hate you Joystiq!! You really got me excited when I saw that photo, only to be utterly disappointed when I read the text.
What is Crytek's problem?! They are sitting on a freakin' goldmine with the perfect tools and technology to retrieve that gold, but noooo they prefer to walk away from it and say, "Uh-uh, we don't like your money. Not...one...bit."

It is not to say they are not taking all of the fun and aspects that made Timesplitters such a bad ass game and applying it to a brand new story. Maybe it's everything they did for Timesplitters already under a new name launching as a new 'franchise'. As long as it is what makes us love Timesplitters - the insane amount of charactrers and multiplayer options, engaging maps and map editors and more then we all have something to look forward to

TimeSplitters 4 has been long overdue, and I would buy it day fucking one.
Future Perfect was probably the most fun multiplayer game I've ever played.
I'm sick of developers thinking they know what we want and not listening to us.
