Getaway 3, Eight Days not canceled, just 'put to one side'

So, basically, no one has put the files for the games on to a single computer, doused it in gasoline, flipped it off and then set it ablaze. Because that's apparently what it takes for a game to be classified as canceled.

Well at least they are not canceled so they could go back to them at any time.I just wish some people would stop putting all the blame on eyepet.

They should get back to work on The Getaway! A realistic recreation of London on the PS3 would be incredible.
Despite its flaws, I really enjoyed the first Getaway. The second outing had its moments as well.

The answer is actually to love Eyepet so much that these guys get more money to work on projects like 8 Days and the Getaway 3. If you want either of these games you better hope people buy the shit out of Eyepet.

Nope, the damage has been done already and I don't want it doing well otherwise it will tell Sony to cancel more promising games for casual crap. If I had my way, the whole London studio would be shut down for pulling that stunt.

If Eyepet does really well... what's to stop Sony from putting even more money into Eyepet instead of these games? They could turn Eyepet into an entire franchise with toys, expansions, etc.
Now, if Eyepet doesn't do so well Sony might think "Well guess it's back to the other games we had in the line, might as well finish what we already started, rather than wasting any more time and effort into Eyepet."
Of course they might think along your lines just as much. I'm just offering some other possibilities.

Sony Computer Entertainment's London Studio are a bunch of bull shitters, Has anyone seen any screen shots of any of these games recently? NO because they were never in development just some CG to make Sonys PS3 look like it performed better then it dose No game has come close to reproducing those type of graphics with a thriving city and a bunch of cars and pediatricians all on screen while still maintaining Gran Turismo style vehicle graphics

Theres nothing in that pic (unlike Killzone tech demo) that says its an impossible task. Look how Killzone turned out in the end, not quite the tech demo, but beautiful by all means, look how GTA4 looked, gorgeous. So what you on about? Isn't exactly hard for a Sony developer to push a Sony console. Its thier own neighbourhood.

Not a good sign either way, i say. Shelving takes you close to the brink of cancellation, interferes with the development process, and is rarely beneficial for the final product (unless they just completely scrap what they had going and restart the projects from scratch. Not to say it's bad, but the on-again off-again dev process just doesn't work)

I knew they would never cancelled the game. These games are hard to eliminate and they work so hard on it. Do you think they would give up for nothing? The good news is that we got trophies and the Playstation 3 Motion Controller (aka Playstation Sphere as it's probably rumored to be called) have helped the PS3. For Eight Days, I think the motion controller would work perfectly for this game (The Getaway 3, let's leave it to Dualshock 3/sixaxis).

singstar thats a joke if there working on where is the proof we all been waiting for for years now iee ( wheres v3, wireless mics and any content the u.s might like ) sad we have to import and create extra uk accounts to get music we like o spent almost 60 bucks on songs form uk store and im sure there missing out on songs that people that dont open up uk or wish to jump through hoops to get good content and shotty updates while we get maybe 12 songs that no one knows and update the uk get 30+ wth songs we may actualy buy
