Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars looking grand in new PSP trailer
Of course, if you have a DS, it comes out a lot sooner -- seven months ago, in fact -- but no matter how many times this wonderful game is released, it'll be exciting every time. The graphical update on the PSP version looks nice, even if the trailer makes it hard to actually see the game.
If these moving images aren't enough, check Kotaku for some new screens. And yes, two trailers counts as a big week.

Well looks like I can still play my DS version and not feel jealous.
profeteer @ Oct 8th 2009 4:05PM
The touch controls were some of the coolest parts of the game. I like twisting wires together and assembling sniper rifles.
joeybeast @ Oct 8th 2009 6:37PM
Maybe I'll wait for the iPhone version

that is sooner than I would have thought....good stuff

DS exclusive INDEED!

I'd actually prefer this on PSP, but that's just my opinion.
Lord Il Palazzo APPROVES! *2 thumbs up*
charlie b. @ Oct 8th 2009 7:43PM
dual thumbs? O MAH GAHD!
Mattchewie @ Oct 8th 2009 4:17PM
I liked the touch stuff but I disliked having to keep the stylus in my hands while I played. I know I could just use my finger but ...its just not the same.
So, with that said, I welcome this game to psp with open arms.
mirage @ Oct 8th 2009 4:30PM
The stylus is the main reason I can't stand the ds. the iPod touch is much more fun in my opinion. Wish we could get a portable with the touch of the iPod and the controls of the DS or PSP. That would be the best of both worlds!
NaeemTHM @ Oct 8th 2009 4:32PM
The PSPGo could have been that T___T
David Black @ Oct 8th 2009 4:44PM
I'm with you Matt. The touchscreen stuff was fun at first but I hated having to keep the stylus out. It really started to grate on me during long play sessions, especially trying to throw grenades/molotovs or doing the numbers game trying to steal a car in a hurry.
calgaryalta @ Oct 8th 2009 5:00PM
" I know I could just use my finger but ...its just not the same."
That's what she said... ;)
HeXeN @ Oct 8th 2009 4:22PM
This should certainly please the dozen who will buy it.
Adam @ Oct 8th 2009 4:25PM
I like the helicopter in the spin-out at the end, no one can control those things, not even the guys making the trailer.
Jordan Biffle @ Oct 8th 2009 4:30PM
So when can we see an iPhone/iPod Touch trailer?
Orchard Pear @ Oct 8th 2009 4:31PM
Damn, that is looking sexy. Massive improvement over the DS version.
Glad they decided to port this over to a handheld that has the power to actually do the game justice, especially after it failed horribly on the DS.
Hopefully Okamiden will get the same treatment when it inevitably fails, too.
Meloche @ Oct 8th 2009 4:36PM
Yeah sure, because selling almost 750 000 copies is a complete failure... Does a game really needs 1M sales to be considered okay?
David Black @ Oct 8th 2009 4:46PM
@meloche
You're joking, right? Care to share your source on those sales figures?

Compared to what they expected from a GTA game, it was a "disappointment".
It certainly didn't fail misreably.
offday @ Oct 8th 2009 6:13PM
How do you know it's a massive improvement? It's not even out yet. You just watched a trailer...
I'm guessing it's a "massive improvement" just because you own a psp and not a ds.
Asmerom (PSN: neon6plz) @ Oct 8th 2009 7:55PM
That's pretty ballsy to bite at the sequel to one of the best looking games on the PS2.
Markez @ Oct 8th 2009 9:24PM
What on earth in that video says massive improvement?
NOTHING DOES. There are some very, very minor graphical improvements and that's it. Good lord man, you're a complete dumbass.
ToadStoolPorridge (PSN: tennispro_99) @ Oct 8th 2009 4:51PM
That trailer looked real good. If there's one thing everyone can agree on, Rockstar nails the presentation in almost all of their games. I already played through this on the DS, but it people find the game to be just as fun on the PSP (and it's screen :) ), I may be interested in getting a copy for the PSP as well.
Jordan Biffle @ Oct 8th 2009 5:03PM
On the DS, this game looks pretty good, but for PSP, I think this game is really just a downgrade/crippled version of GTA. The last 2 GTA's on PSP were just as good as the console versions, and Liberty City Stories is one of my favorite GTA's of all time. As far as this game goes, I'm going to wait for the iPhone version so I don't have to buy a DS or waste my money on a downgraded GTA for PSP.
bemaggg @ Oct 8th 2009 7:05PM
You won't waste your money on the psp version (or on a ds for some strange reason). But you'd rather waste your money on the iphone version? I'm not sure I understand your logic.
KinjiroSSD @ Oct 8th 2009 5:42PM
I'm really looking forward to this. I played it a small bit on the DS but hated using the d-pad for driving and keeping the stylus on hand. I'm like an old man when it comes to touch controls. Just give me an analog stick and face buttons.
michael @ Oct 8th 2009 6:47PM
Well, it looks very promising on the PSP. Looks like another GTA collection is added for my PSP.
Mezstizo @ Oct 8th 2009 7:28PM
WOW! I guess that shut David Black TFU!!
alec @ Oct 8th 2009 8:48PM
I am real excited to purchase this game that is basically a direct port of the ds version and only made so rockstar can make some more money (it seems thats all they care about anymore) because the ds version didnt sell.
Markez @ Oct 8th 2009 9:25PM
It's a great game, glad to see more folks will be able to have fun with it.
