It really is.
Me and my friends try to play at least once a week.
On the stats page we have a lot of matches and gameplay time logged in.
probably more so than any other MP game I have ever played.

"...an average of 71 minutes into the game monthly. "

um, maybe i'm getting the wrong mental input here, but how is a game that clocks in 71 minutes (1 hour and 11 minutes) the top played game on the wii?...is that a typo and the really mean 71 hours?...i mean, i'm pretty sure the halos or cods have averaged that amount of time in less than a month...

am i right or wrong?...cuz maybe i am gettin it wrong...

on a side note: looks like Epic Mickey may end up multi-platform; hope it happens...

I played until the Cruel Melee broke me. Have you ever tried getting 15 KOs in that thing? It's ridiculous.

Can't be as hard as the time I tried to unlock Sonic and Tails on Melee.

yeah, but...

71mins...that still seems a bit low...

maybe i should research other "average total hours per game" for other consoles...

just so i can criticize wisely...

You can easily get past 100 hours in Rune Factory Frontier, and much more. And the replay value is endless.

I'm a bit surprised by the playtime. An average of 71 minutes a MONTH? Just over an hour of playtime a month. Doesn't that seem...low?

yes, I have the misfortune to tell you that Rune Factory: Frontier IS as engrossing as it seems. My mom just started the game, and in just over a week, she's almost passed the total time I've played SSBB on my own Wii! (100 hours, as I usually play it mostly at a friend's house) She even stole my Nunchuck! >_>

I was kinda hoping the RPG parts would turn her off, so that I could have a go without being annoyed playing it. Unfortunately, the RPG isn't as big a part as I expected....

This game was so horrible compared to melee, and 64, yeah final smashes, you mean, the only way you can kill people in the game.
Its like they made the game so only items could kill people, and then the items are still weaker then those in melee, and you are praising this game, people should be protesting this game. All of my smash freinds, who played the game, hate brawl and there is a good 20-30 of them. They will probalbly not get the next one unless it is super good.

BRAWL + is goood though, kudos to people who talked about that here.

A wii was the first console I bought, and once I'd completed Brawl, I saw that as the best I can expect from the wii, so I sold it on. Now my mother has a Wii for WiiFit (gathering dust, naturally) and I'm tempted to buy this game for it, just because I remember how fun it was.

Anyone else find it funny that the game most played on the wii doesn't use motion controls?

These stats depend on users putting their Wii's on the internet. It might depend on them using the Nintendo Channel (is this data sent to Nintendo all the time, or only when you open the Nintendo Channel and see that "Sending Data" message?). I wonder how many Wii owners bother to connect it or use the Nintendo Channel.

My parents bought a Wii on the weekend to play Wii Sports and Wii Fit. I did connect it to the internet but they didn't get why they would want to do this and may never use the Nintendo channel. They may never add to these stats.
