These new Red Dead Redemption screens aren't horsing around

From the first trailer, we've been hankering to see more from Rockstar's open-world treatment of the Wild West, Red Dead Redemption. That said, there was considerable hootin' and hollerin' around the 'Stiq when the dev dished out these latest screens today.
As good as RDR looks, its gameplay sounds equally impressive given the demo we got during PAX 2009. The ability to kill everything in the game (well, with the exception of things that aren't alive in the first place -- you win this time, rock!) is perhaps overshadowed only by the fact that you'll be able to tan your own leather and sell it, fulfilling a life-long dream for at least .01% of those who'll play it.

This and Call of Juarez really, Gun was made originally for the PS2/ Xbox and didn't improve much in the 360 version to be honest

Well since Red Dead Revolver came out first, was fantastic, and better than Gun, it definitely is the most worthy to improve on what it had and should be considered for purchase before the other Western games.

Anyways, this game looks pretty sweet. Westerns need to make a come back (in the movies, too) and this is looking like the game to do it. I also think I'm going to get Call of Juarez now that it's discounted.

Sorry for the double post, but I realized that many might misinterpret my last post. So here's an exercise to illustrate what I mean:
Put your hand over your heart. Now turn your hand sideways and limp wrist it. Say "Dur du der," and try to bite your ear.

That horse was pretty funky looking. The ones in Assasin's Creed weren't that bad, but they should've been the Arabian breed, not some Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred looking things. The people in RRR look quite great though.

This is easily one of the most interesting games of next year. It sounds incredible. I love gta but this just seems so much fresher.

Damn this game looks badass! Gun was a blast on the 360, and I will be picking up RDR for the xbox to get ready for Redemption.
Now to go check if RDR is backwards compatible.

I loved the first game, and I really appreciated the fact that the didn't make Indians into savage villains like in Gun. You could actually play an Indian scout, and a Buffalo Soldier. It was small, but it helped add to the story, and not make me feel like I was in the 1950s where killing indians was still cool. Hopefully, the game will not have succumbed to dumb.
