The Xbox 360's Games on Demand service is getting quite the booster shot this month, as Microsoft has announced six new titles coming to the service in October. The festivities kicked off earlier this week with the release of Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Call of Duty 3. Here's what the rest of this month has in store:
October 13
October 20
October 27
There's no word on price for any of these titles right now, so we've checked with Microsoft and will be sure to update you when we hear back.

Dont like it? Dont buy it.
Believe it or not, some people actually do have the kind of income that they dont care to save $5-10 buy picking up a used copy at a game store. Some people can actually sit back and say "you know, Ill buy this so I dont have to worry about losing or damaging my disk."
Games on demand is for those kinds of people. By all means, if you dont like it, don't by it. MS isnt forcing it upon you.

@R
By that logic, if you have disposable income, then you wouldn't care if you had to buy a second copy.
Also, it's really not hard to keep games from getting lost or scratched - when you're done playing, put it back in its case and on the shelf. There's a reason games come in jewel cases and not a box of diamond shards.

(Digital copy with the game wouldn't work. People would just sell the game adter they got the DLC code.)
So it's 2am on a Friday and I want to buy a new game to play for the night. Dead Space seems like a great choice. F-it let's say I want Battlefield Bad company because my friends are playing.
Alright so I can download it right now for 19.99 or drive out to a Wal-Mart and pick it up for 18.82. But it's Friday, I don't want to be driving when I could just start cooking myself a burger while the game downloads.
So in the end I didn't need to buy gas, I got to eat a sweet burger, put money straight towards the developers, oh and I got a fucking game delivered to my house almost instantly!

That's not the same thing at all. If MS sells their games on their site for cheaper then any retail store, very few retail stores are going to let MS put product on their shelves. Wal-Mart simply sells products, they have no reason to worry about getting their products into Target or Best Buy because that's not what they do.

I had a ton of fun playing through Army of Two with my cousin. Sure, its ridiculous, and pimping your gun is the epitome of ridiculousness, but man is it ever entertaining.
I still haven't played through Dead Space though. I'm thinking I'll need to do that in the middle of the day to avoid freaking out.

You should check out Saints Row 2 - all the fun they forget to include in GTA IV ended up in SR2.
No, it doesn't have the same deep character development as GTA IV, but you can drive a sewage truck around and spray pedestrians with poop.

Kind of wish the took the fallout approach and just started to create amazing scenarios. Zombie Outbreak, Tank Battles in Downtown Manhattan, Snow...
I do like the smaller campaigns though. Would much rather play through 3 of those then 1 of Niko's scale. Loved Niko's story till his cousins apartment burned down. To bad that was about 3 hours in.

Okay... here goes..
DEAD SPACE IS BETTER THAN RESIDENT EVIL!
It is! God damn it, it is! It's scary without artificially limiting what you can do in the game just to MAKE it scary! The freedom to move and shoot and ALSO get scared by horrific monsters! And a story that isn't convoluted and stupid!
"Oh no, Wesker's arms are really super long and weird! Better shoot him with fifteen rockets so he finally dies and falls in this volcano!"
Stupid, stupid, stupid. Fuck Resident Evil.
I would be Dead Space's boyfriend, were that somehow possible.

In Dead Space, you destroy large rocks by blasting them with a mining weapon.
In Resident Evil 5, you destroy large rocks by PUNCHING THEM.
Case closed.

Sandbox games are exactly the type of games I want to see for download. They should be available at a few button presses, not requiring a disc swap.
Of course, if Rock Band 2 was available for GOD, I'd probably play a few other games besides it from time to time since the disc tray would be free :P

Figures right after I buy GTA 4 and get dead space from gamefly today, I even paid like $25 used for gta 4 so I would have paid the $30 it will likely cost to download it.

This is a bad move. Anyone who has installed GTA 4 onto their HDD has seen its one of the worst things you can do. It increases pop-up and loads the city much slower.
Buying it without knowing this is just gonna end up screwing you over.

Installing GTA-IV has dramatically reduced load times and pop-up problems for me.

Actually, I shared Roger's experience with GTA IV. BUT, that was before I installed some of the updates, and on the disc it played great so that doesn't really account for anything. Also, GTA IV is probably optimized to be read from the HD, so I wouldn't worry about it.

...I really hate when even being serious; I still get commented down.
When TLAD DLC came out; I realized that GTA 4 was much faster on the 360 then the ps3. However after installing it on my 20 gig hard drive [nothing else on there I mind you]; it loaded very poorly and had pop-up that a blind man would notice.
I'm not bashing the system; just the HDD install for GTA 4 was not the best in existence.

Releasing Dead Space just in time for the Halloween. Clever.
Man, Deadspace is such an amazing game. It was my game of the year when it was released. So much better than anything like it out there. If you like suspence/horror games please do yourself a favor and buy this game. The story was great, the ambience was amazing. Damn I'm typing this and I want to play it again... Just need to make sure I have extra pairs of shorts... the last ones are all wet and smelling bad..
