New Serious Sam HD trailer is anything but serious

If you were to ask us to what sort of modes we expected to see in Serious Sam HD, "Super Happy Fun Time Mode" wouldn't even be on the list. Much like the first time you heard the bewildered Mortal Kombat announcer utter the word "Friendship," the video above is likely to fill you with unexpected glee. Don't be surprised if you emit giggles, chuckles or maybe even a guffaw or two. Of course, we still have to wait and see if Serious Sam's punishing gameplay has withstood the test of time.

For now, just enjoy the video.

I'd rather Valve did this to Australian Left4Dead 2 rather then simply removing gore. That would be almost as good while at the same time being a big fuck you to the OFLC.

I'm pretty sure that if you turned the gore all the way down, it would turn cause all of the enemies to bleed flowers, or something like that.

On the XBox version the Gore setting had 'Hippie Mode' which spurt out a bunch of flowers if I recall correctly...

All I care about though is that they keep the same music from the XBox version (not sure if it's the same music from the PC). I still feel damn heroic when that music is blaring and all hell is breaking loose around me. My favorite is the Jingle Bells song from episode 2. I was grinning ear to ear listening to that.

It's nice to see that some games still have a sense of humour, even if it is just an update of an old game. The REALISM IS GOD crowd far outweigh fun developers nowadays and it's getting pretty boring. This and the darkest of days trailer are the only trailers that made me actually want to buy the game in recent memory.
