Rock Band Weekly: Brutal Legend pack, Black Tide, Blink-182, Satriani, Kansas, L7

Corporate synergy is well at work when the Brütal Legend pack rolls its way into next week's Rock Band DLC update. The track grouping includes Mötorhead, Tenacious D and Testament. To wash all that metal down, there are also individual songs from Kansas and Blink 182. For those upset by all of this: you can pull a "Jeremy" in front of the class*, which joins Unplugged next week.

*Yeah, don't do that.

Hell yes. The only way that Brutal Legend pack could have been better is if it included Deadly Sinners and was a 4-pack.

Hell, just give us every Brutal Legend song. Maybe not *every* song, ok, but there are several that would tickle my fancy.

Pretty awesome selection. Reckon I'll get the Brutal Legend pack and the L7 track (though there are a lot of others I'd prefer, still great they added another). Might get the Blacktide song too, the other two were pretty sweet. Maybe Blink 182 as well. Oh hell, I'll probably end up buying all of these :P

of all the blink-182 songs...why Whats My Age lol, they should pick old school blink stuff like "Wasting Time" or something that's actually fun on guitar :P dam the hits....dam them to hell

"Show Me the Way"? Finally! It's on the Unplugged disc and I'd never heard it before, but when I did, I was pleasantly surprised, and I've been wanting to play it with the plastic instruments, so this is nice :)

More Kansas is nice, but they're live tracks. Would've preferred the studio cuts. Oh well...

That's not a bad Testament song considering it came out last year, and they haven't really been all that good since their thrash days. Definitely gonna get that at the very least.

You shut your whore mouth. Everything since Demonic has blown away their earlier stuff. Not that they weren't good early on, but their earlier albums are closer to just being generic Bay Area Metal clones. The more recent stuff transcends that easily.

Holy shit! Surfing with the alien and satch boogie should be very difficult, going by the GH charts. Good to see more awesome instrumentals in rock band. Between this, uncharted 2, and brutal legend, I'm not sure what to do with myself!

I'm down for some Satriani. Probably gonna be really difficult on guitar. Since they can do songs that have no singers, how about Kansas Dust in the Wind which would exclude the drummer.

Unfortunately, we'll never see "Dust in the Wind" in Rock Band because there are no drums in that song.

There were no drums in The End by Pearl Jam, and there might as well not be any on Nirvana's song Polly.

I'll be grabbing The Metal, Show Me The Way and Surfing with the Alien. Hopefully they grab the other two guitar virtuoso tracks from GH3, Soothsayer by Buckethead (and GHII's Jordan, while we're at it) and For the Love of God by Steve Vai.

I love Tenacious D, but I'm a bit disappointed that they chose "The Metal", I can just play it in GH3. And after seeing how hard Satch Boogie was in GHWT, I cannot even begin to imagine what it's gonna be like without a slider bar in RB.

NEED MORE POINTS. UGH!
