If you thought the writing on the cutscene-friendly Metal Gear Solid franchise was confusing, the reason for that should be crystal clear when you read the personal blog of the series' creator, Hideo Kojima. The blog's latest update imparted the enigmatic developer's feelings on President Barack Obama's recent, unexpected reception of the Nobel Peace Prize:
"President Obama, who declared 'A World Without Nuclear Weapons' in Prague, has won the Nobel Peace Prize. Has the era at last started shifting? The start of the Peace Walker plan? I hope that comes to be. 'Peace will not walk to you.' 'You must both walk towards one another.' From the gym."
Not only does this entry reveal that Kojima writes like William Shatner speaks, but it also exposes a grim truth of the Metal Gear series -- it's all real. The GW construct. The Philosophers' Legacy. The Patriots. FoxDie. And, of course, somewhere there exists a real-life Metal Gear. Based on this post, we're guessing it's in a gym.

Good doctor - I never said we should vote for someone based on his personality, per se. To be honest, I wanted Hillary in Office but that's just me. I have since adjusted to the fact that the O-Man is in Office and I'm looking at things as objectively as possible. I made that comparison of Obama's personality to Bushes because it was very obvious that Bush is an arrogant asshole, willy-nillying things at times because he thought he knew better than his advisers.
People with more amiable personalities are more apt to be open to different ideas and are willing to go with what seems to be best for the greater good of not just themselves. We NEED that right now. You can only take so much of a person's word especially a politician's during a campaign because they ALL lie, to some degree. Intangibles such as how a person comes across can be vital, more than you think, in those instances. I never liked Bushes personality and it was obvious, to me, that we may be headed into trouble with him....which we did but I gave him a chance until it became glaring obvious that we were going from the frying pan to the fire, bit by bit.
Also, you can't satisfy EVERYBODY. Do you not believe that if Obama tried other things, he wouldn't get toasted? I would hope not. Like I said above, we gotta hold tight til the last tick of the clock NOT base things on what's happening just before the end of first quarter. There's still over 3qrts left, my people! Ha...
As for Clinton, check the states on the deficit, the county's moral, the economy. Bush tanked all that.
Now, good doctor (or should that be "bad doctor"??) why are you such a HATER on EVERYTHING people say? U come across as a very negative person, to me. I could be wrong but based on the things I see you post around here, and I haven't exactly seen EVERYTHING u post but quite few, u seem to have this air of negativity when u post.

ChuckJ, I'm reading your link now. Just to be clear, though, there are no known Communists in Obama's administration presently. This is a big departure from your statement that the administration was "full of" communists, is it not?
OK, after reading this link some more.. it's clear the webpage is akin to a right-wing blog, and not a journalistic source. I asked for reputable sources. I'm not saying that what is written on this blog is inherently untrue, but I did ask for reputable sources, not a webpage that continually uses Glenn Beck as a valid source of news.

Bravo, my good friend. I actually thought about the point I made about Japanese culture while I was just cooking and was to return here and offer my apologies for "getting it twisted" - My apologies, dear sir. I can see how that sounds and saw your tie in. Bad, Trey! I wasn't putting them down, though, as I u can see that I was actually praising them for their level of intellect toward the end of that statement.
I tried to show both sides of that and I don't blame you for seeing it in that light. They definitely have a way of layering things in their storytelling and it can be looked at as being overdone, which is how I see it. Wasn't stereotyping or trying to be racist, at all. I was just going on the Japanese movies/anime I have viewed growing up. I can't front on that layering and that's what I was speaking to. Poor choice of words on my part and misunderstanding what you were truly aiming at. Pardonne.

I never said no one else inherited a mess, you're misconstuing my point! Here it is, instead of complaining, get up and do something about your own situation.Obama said he doesn't deserve it, get over it and live your life. It's like people expect instantaneous change, everyone has all of the answers. If the person you voted for didn't get elected you can't do anything, but ride it out, at least do it with dignity.

Kojima is a douche. His games are behind the times and he ipitomizes the degradation of the Japanese game industry: getting by on reputation and not advancing the genre or formula.

I’m still trying to figure out what he’s done period. So that begs the question what has he done to win the Nobel. I guess from my view point he’s a man of many words but no action to back them.

I was looking at the source of this and it looks like "From the Gym" is his valediction, or closing.
I don't know Japenese, but it does look like he's merely saying he posted this From the Gym.
The rest of it just seems to be very poetic, and probably a lot is lost in translation. Kinda just sounds like he's saying Peace is up to people, not leaders.
But whatever.

I read the blog page, and he meant that he was AT the gym, as in Kojima himself was at the gym. Could the person who looked at this even read Japanese? The Shatner thing is unwarranted as well, its just a written style of Japanese. They are allowed to have fragmented sentences, its grammatically proficient.
