Kojima cryptically gives opinion on Obama's Nobel Prize

"President Obama, who declared 'A World Without Nuclear Weapons' in Prague, has won the Nobel Peace Prize. Has the era at last started shifting? The start of the Peace Walker plan? I hope that comes to be. 'Peace will not walk to you.' 'You must both walk towards one another.' From the gym."
Not only does this entry reveal that Kojima writes like William Shatner speaks, but it also exposes a grim truth of the Metal Gear series -- it's all real. The GW construct. The Philosophers' Legacy. The Patriots. FoxDie. And, of course, somewhere there exists a real-life Metal Gear. Based on this post, we're guessing it's in a gym.

You know how at the beginning of the Metal Gear games when it says how if any of this is true, it's a coincidence? What if Hideo Kojima is actually from the future and is using future events to create one of the most successful video game franchises that keeps going from exclusive to multi-platform?

It's mostly for his nonproliferation work.

That stuff, combined with his widely-publicized speech about nuclear arms in Prague is the bulk of what the award is for.
There's also his outreach to the Muslim world, which has been a notable bit of diplomacy.
And there's also the fact that Obama is not Bush, which is helping Obama quite a bit internationally.

What you all fail to understand is that the Nobel committee has a time machine, and that they award the Nobel prize based on future deeds. For instance, in the year 2024, Teddy Roosevelt will rise from the grave and defeat the forces of Robo-Hitler, ending WWIII and saving humanity. For this future act of heroism, he was given the Nobel prize in 1906.
Just wait a few hundred years, and we'll know why they awarded this years medal.

Obama himself admitted he didn't feel he was deserving of the award. The guy is damned if he do and damned if he don't with a large portion of our Country and to an equally large portion he can do no wrong. I wish more people were somewhere in the middle and saw this for what it was ... he gets the Peace Prize for trying to usher in a new era of diplomacy and he isn't Bush. Period.
This is just as much a political statement by the committee as it is anything else. It is what it is and our country is so busy fighting and arguing about the shit that doesn't actually matter (like this) that we are distracted from the whats really happening. America is crumbling literally and figuratively.
I think the hardcore ideological conservatives feel Bush got some kind of slight in office and are taking out that agression on Obama. It's sad the Republican party is little more than a shell of it's former self and is really become nothing more than the conservative wing of the democratic party.
The Left has pretty much been taken over by a vocal minority of extremely hardcore activist esque ideologically driven liberals. They seem to be driven by this passion to prove how much they AREN'T conservative and as such have really went out of their way to push agendas that aren't necessarily in the best interest of the citizens.
Basically the Conservative party is driven by Big Oil & The Military Industrial Complex where as the Democratic party is driven by wall street financiers.
Thats my take anyway ...

Basically the award was for the 60 odd million people who voted for him. And because while he hasn't done much yet, the way he's doing things is much more peaceful.

If you got through that without getting indigestion he also prohibited the use of torture.
