Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2's first DLC character is another Spider-Man

We can only imagine the meeting at Vicarious Visions where the development team behind Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2's DLC was arranged. "Well, we've already got Spider-Man and Venom, but we really feel like the game's still lacking in the Spider-Man spinoff department -- what about that other Spider-Man guy?" And thus, Carnage enters the fray as the game's first downloadable character.

Known for his stint in the super-violent Spider-Man mini-series "Maximum Carnage" and, um, that SNES game we played so long ago, Carnage will assuredly lend an over-the-top je ne sais quoi to MUA2's proceedings. We're not exactly sure what happens when you pair him with Spider-Man and Venom on screen, but we worry they might get eaten by Carnage, which could be really awkward.

or make a fusion of Carnage and Anti-Venom... called.... Anti-Carnom?

haha but picture it.. mainly white with the black veins etc.. and can morph and is immune to sonic noises.... unstoppable!

Carnage and Venom both completely suck. They're dumbed-down, "evil twin" versions of Spider-Man. They're the worst crap from the 90s comics, and frankly, I think creating Carnage was a worse move than even "One More Day" was.

Carnages original story was good(and even questioned Spider-Man's morals as he went back on a deal he had on Venom!). Every Carnage story after that was awful. Venom started off in the 80s and was a wonderful character until he got milked for everything he was worth.

New Venom.....not so great.....

I love me some Symbitotes. This trailer makes me wish that full current gen Spider-Man game will be made. No more games that will work on past gen so the over all quality is shit in 720p. I just ordered SMWS for $14, because I wasnt gonna get another bad "half current gen" game. Ultimate Spider-Man 2, where are you?!

Also no more easy web slinging. SM2 had it right, make the player actually learn how to do it. SM3 was like for idiots. You dont even need to be close to a building for webs to stick. So lame, too easy.

Looks like my initial hesitation towards buying MUA 2 wasn't unfounded. I had a feeling the reason there were less playable characters and less costumes per character was because they were going to milk the game for DLC.

Sorry the best recent comic book death was Sentry ripping him in half awhile back. I'd much rather of seen I dunno Doctor Strange, Nova, Punisher, Aries, Gauntlet (from Avengers The Initiative), Moon Knight to name a few.

That and why not make some of the characters already within the game playable? Justice, Firestar, Spiderwoman, Dagger all of them have character models already in game and to my knowledge shown some power usage while with your party.

And I do hope more map's are given out. The game in a nutshell is pretty quick, the only reason I'm still playing it is to unlock some trophies but I'm already 55% done and had the game for a week now.

Alot of characters in this game weren't involved in Civil War. Hulk was on another planet and Jean was dead.

Oh that I know Bubbameister lol. I was just about done with Marvel till Civil War happened and they sucked me right back in. Was kinda hoping that Hulks Alt. Costume would of been his Planet Hulk armor since they did have a preview of that movie within the game. That and your right on Jean she's been dead for awhile now (2 years I think?) I know some would of thought her Dark Phoenix costume as a cheap recoloring job but still another Alt. Costume I wished they had.

And Alton... um Lyja.. no thanks lol.. I've had enough Skrulls lately.
