For anyone interested, pre-orders at Futureshop in Canada will get you an "Exclusive" XMB theme. I hadn't heard about this until I went there today (and to be honest I'm just too lazy to check back through the posts), so I thought it might be of some use to the other Great White Northerners on the 'Stiq.
If this IS old news, then ignore the above and instead, maybe answer a question...
Anyone know if the theme is dynamic? I'm guessing no, but one can always hope. : )

Ok i know that the providers of this contest and its prize are SCEA, but still, why can't Sony as a whole try to do something like this for every major region? Once again, the EU are left in the damned dust, with damned expensive games and not even a damned thing as a sign of their good faith in us as a major gaming market. DAMNED, I TELL YOU!

It's not a big thing really, i mean we get the same games (MOSTLY, i should say) and that's what matters but i think that it's about time something was arranged for us.

Since the cancellation of the Hsu and Chan blog, only winning this could uplift my soul....

Yeah, i kinda guessed that was the case with the markets roles as a whole. But what i mean is that regardless of how big, or how "key" the markets are i think that giving one region special treatment (and quite a lot of it too) is just wrong. Right now they're giving the kid that did really good on the test an extra star instead of trying to encourage the other ones to do better.

I'm not naive enough to think that giving out a few special editions here or there is gonna change much but i think that it's them going the extra mile for everyone that is gonna do em good in the long run.

I've been a gamer for quite some time, and this is just not a thing that's happening lately, it's been like this for a good while. I remember sitting bitching and moaning about MGS2 and 3 being like what... Four months late for the EU while the others got them that much earlier. And i realize that there's probably more to it but still, this as a business philosophy (as it seems to be) should not exist.

Oh, ish. I was just about to watch a movie on Blu-ray. Lemme jump back on the beta, real quick....and maybe IF I win one, I can either pickup my GS pre-order on Tues, play it til the 7days to return the game are up or wait til I get this sent to me...or maybe a combination of both. I'd probably be finished within 7 days, though.
