Swag Saturday: Final Fantasy spinoff pack (PSP)

We're hoping that you're not like us and are instead hungrily searching for your chance to win a copy of both Dissidia Final Fantasy and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (on UMD, of course). Leave a comment below letting us what you're going to do with your physical media when the future is upon us and there's no turning back. We'll choose one winner at random after the comments are closed 24 hours from now. See you in the future!
- Leave a comment letting us what you're going to do with your physical media when the future is upon us and there's no turning back.

- Limit 1 entry per person per day
- This entry period ends at 7:01PM ET on Sunday, October 11
- At that time, we'll randomly select one winner to receive Dissidia Final Fantasy ($40 ARV) and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII ($20 ARV)

When the physical media is gone, I will push a hoop with a stick down a dirt road and call it good.
roger @ Oct 10th 2009 7:23PM
I'll just buy up all the cheap games for sale on physical media while others can pay full price for licenses to games they will never be able to sell back.

inb4 attention whores that reply to the first comment.
Sly @ Oct 10th 2009 8:23PM
no you aren't since you are one.
pax copia @ Oct 10th 2009 8:28PM
What will I backup my data on when physical media is gone? Clearly not snips, snails & puppy dog tails because those are just as tangible as BD-R. So what exactly or where exactly will all of the data "in the future" live when physical media is gone? Will we be forced to store it in daydreams and nightmares?
esposch @ Oct 10th 2009 8:36PM
This isn't an entry, but I'm surprised so few people have said "rip them into digital format." That's what I do with all my UMDs.
Sly @ Oct 10th 2009 9:34PM
i do that too.
Darkfocus @ Oct 10th 2009 9:40PM
The Future is Physical Media!!!
So I'll still be using it =D

Count me in, I guess I'll start playing with ball and jacks again
Punkrawk Bbob @ Oct 11th 2009 9:17AM
Happilly continue using it and replaying old titles I used to love, like I already do. When DRM starts coming with time constraints (good for 2 years, 6 months, etc at a reduced price that people will jump on). I love going back to old titles I've already beaten and giving them another go.
Zexion_VI @ Oct 10th 2009 7:01PM
I will put it in a safe and store it in my basement... FOREVER.....
mgsrocks1 @ Oct 11th 2009 5:13AM
You do know that it will degrade over time right? If I was you I would put in a safe and send it to space. Sounds dumb? Perhaps but I think it will work. :P
Solace @ Oct 10th 2009 7:02PM
I'm going to eat it! OM NOM NOM NOM!
Complex @ Oct 10th 2009 10:32PM
I'm going to poop it.........

A large fondue pot, and a gigantic block of government cheese, using Wiimote attachments as utensils.
nbskid @ Oct 10th 2009 7:02PM
I'll keep on playing it on my active devices. MUAHAHAHAH!
Jeff Mukau @ Oct 10th 2009 7:02PM
I will make a time machine out of the physical media and then stop Sony from starting to go down this dangerous path. Which of course will eventually lead to the destruction of the world.
DriveBy @ Oct 10th 2009 7:03PM
I'll throw it at the guy who thought the PSP Go was a good idea.
Number_Zero @ Oct 10th 2009 7:03PM
Why I am still gonna play my physical media on my old systems. Why would I throw out hundreds of dollars of games?
BPMOmega [XBL, PSN, Steam] @ Oct 10th 2009 7:05PM
I will keeps them... My precious...
jinn35 @ Oct 10th 2009 7:05PM

Daniel @ Oct 10th 2009 7:07PM
I'll stockpile them all on a shelf, so that years from now Joystiq will do a feature on my "retro" gaming collection.
Ryan M. @ Oct 10th 2009 7:07PM
I'm going to cremate the physical media and spread its ashes over the roof of a local Gamestop.
knuckles_006 @ Oct 10th 2009 7:07PM
keep it, I still have my NES cartridges
Aardmadrox @ Oct 10th 2009 7:08PM
I will take them out the plastic case and sell each mini disc to Janet Jackson as nipple jewelry! Yeah!
coolj @ Oct 10th 2009 7:08PM
loath it.
Roger @ Oct 10th 2009 7:08PM
Well since earth will likely be abandoned by then; I will hide them inside a mall. That way the only people able to get them will be space cowboys of the smoker and bald variety.
DarkArcon @ Oct 10th 2009 7:13PM
okay sarcastic comment time... PLAY THEM
Wiizer ($299) Having BC On Your Launch Console? (Priceless) @ Oct 10th 2009 7:09PM
I'M GOING TO USE IT TO START MY OWN TRAVELLING DOG FRISBY CIRCUS!!!
Dark @ Oct 10th 2009 7:09PM
Keep them so I can still play them, ofcourse :D
Solarick @ Oct 10th 2009 7:09PM
stuff it in a box and put it in the basement
justinslot @ Oct 10th 2009 7:09PM
I still have all my laserdiscs. My physical media shall be buried with me, like when a pharaoh took his servants with him to the underworld.
mahouneko @ Oct 10th 2009 7:10PM
I will preserve my physical media for posterity so that when dipshits come out who praise the awesomeness of a new game without knowing the classics that it was based on, I can at least pull it out and slap the system + game in their face.
aaronx_x @ Oct 10th 2009 7:11PM
feed the robots.
Kurifurisan @ Oct 10th 2009 7:11PM
I'm going to create works of art to display on my wall.
Sadistic Freek @ Oct 10th 2009 7:12PM
When I was younger, I sold my Sega Saturn along with the games I had for it to my friend(two of which are still my favorites: Nights into dreams, and Albert Odyssey). I regretted that decision for many years, and have since bought the items from ebay. I will never sell a system, nor game ever again, and will instead keep them no matter how obsolete.
Markez @ Oct 10th 2009 7:12PM
coasters!
rohan @ Oct 10th 2009 7:12PM
take my psp with those 2 games, go into my vault and say good bye to the sun
Saikisen @ Oct 10th 2009 7:12PM
I still haven't gotten Dissidia yet so of course I'm going to pop it into my PSP 2000's UMD drive.
As for crisis core, well I'll leave it in its beautiful packaging =]
Jerk Face @ Oct 10th 2009 7:12PM
They make bitchin' coasters.
JeremyR @ Oct 10th 2009 7:14PM
Well, considering I still have an Atari 2600 hooked up to my TV, I think it's safe to say I will be keeping my physical media until it wears out.
But just for the sake of this contest, I would say that I would use it for target practice. (Actually do that with old demo discs). I can put most my shots into a cd or dvd, I don't think that will be possible with a UMD though. (Much less a DS cart)
Actually, thanks to waggle and digital distribution, I think I'm probably just going to quit gaming in the future.
Sly @ Oct 10th 2009 7:14PM
i'll keep em, and maybe sell certain ones if they become valuable collector's items.
mddurden @ Oct 10th 2009 7:14PM
Keep Them...I'll never embrace the future!!!!!
aacman007 @ Oct 10th 2009 7:15PM
Convert the unused physical media into fertilizer to help grow gooder crops. That also play MP3's.
CommanderKeen93 @ Oct 10th 2009 7:15PM
Kindling. See you in hell GameStop!
Beau @ Oct 10th 2009 7:15PM
I will treasure it forever! But seriously I'll keep it, probably put it in a glass case, hang it somewhere in the house, or my room for everyone else to see.
mcroddi @ Oct 10th 2009 7:16PM
I am pretty certain that digital media will be in the mid and long term future while physical media will be the number one choice by the main stream for now...
pastrycakez @ Oct 10th 2009 7:16PM
I'll put them on a PSP GO! and make them work via osmosis.
P. S. Yes, it will work. Promise.
