The PS3 still beating the Wii, the PSP is selling good but i wonder what the Go sales look like and the 360... um...well, maybe Griff should start another "Underdog" article lol.

Actually, the % of PSP Go sold in Japan is ZERO, because it is not yet available.

The Japanese won't get the PSP Go until Nov.1

@Makimak22

Exactly, Joystiq made a mistake. Like you said, the PSP got better sales not because of the Go, but because the PSP 3000 got a price cut.

Sony will NEVER released Go numbers. Its incredibly convienent for them to combine it and boost the whole PSP image.

In other news, even with a new Wii Fit the Wii still falls behind the PS3?!
Thats got to making Nintendo go "WTF Japan!?..... Just WTF!"

Dear Joystiq,

Just a small nugget of fact....

PSP Go has not yet been launched in Japan. Their official date is Nov.1.

The PSP sales spike is probably due to the drop in price of the PSP-3000 model (19800 Yen to 16800 Yen).

Please get you facts straight.

I know you were /scarcasiming but Joystiq is imperfect. Haven't you ever tried to use the reply system on comments? Broken for at least 2 years and counting. The developer listed on their staff must be the worse coder ever. Even with zero knowledge after 2 years he should have learned enough coding if he spent 30 minutes a day to be able to fix that issue.

@Wes

Any self respecting member who's been here more than a week knows how to work the comment system. If you post a comment and then later want to reply you must hit the reply button twice, if you don't post a comment then you only need to hit the reply button once.

Newbies' minds = blow.

If you break down Wii Fit Plus sales, upwards of 90% of them come from the software standalone, which indicates that there are either severely misinformed consumers, or it isn't selling hardware. It's all about the price-cut.

"which indicates that there are either severely misinformed consumers"

that describes it perfectly. most wii owners fit in that category.

Except me. I like the Wii, but there are no good games right now. I want to get NSMB Wii, but probably not, because it's going to be too easy considering the DS was easy, this looks the same. Nintendo, when the fuck are mah new Zelda and Metroid games coming out, bitch?

Actually, NSMB Wii looks to be a good deal harder than the DS version, if previews are any indication.

My bad Sly I must have accidentally misread your comment. Yeah it is true that most Wii owners are clueless when it comes to games. That's why video game companies make shovelware.

It was a facetious comment, in the sense that yes, there are a good number of uninformed Wii owners (though that's true for electronics consumers in general), but i'm saying 90% of these people couldn't possibly have thought they could just buy the standalone software and expect to play it. Pretty sure Nintendo would make it painfully clear on the box.

I think that might be the point. It'd kind of lessen the impact of a tyrannical, all-seeing, oppressive government if it could be beaten by a thirty-nine year old with an ulcer on his ankle and his hoe.

Rather wild that PS3 still outsells Wii in the week of it's price-cut, though i think it's a possibility that Tales of Vesperia PS3 is helping to arrest the fall from their high.

Either way, things are set up to be quite epic, though neither system is getting really heavy system sellers until starting in November (though i'm unaware of Tekken 6's release date)
