Left 4 Dead PC patch reclosing doors in 'Crash Course' DLC [update]

Aside from fixing pressing issues like "campaign image not updating correctly when creating a lobby" and increasing "the reliability of the Steam Group server display," Valve's recently released PC patch updates a crucial issue with Left 4 Dead's latest DLC: keeping doors closed. Apparently, during Versus mode in the game's "Crash Course" DLC, players were able to release teammates from "rescue closets," assuredly stopping rampant R. Kelly syndrome. The game may be fixed, but will that cure your urge to micturate on people? Only time will tell.

"Fixed an issue where rescue closet doors could be opened in Crash Course in Versus mode"
They fixed the problem when doors COULD be opened.
Your not supposed to release people from closets in Versus.
Smoke_me_a_Kipper @ Oct 11th 2009 2:50PM
They're not suppose to be in closets to start with.
Spartan [Planeteer | Power of Sunshine & Lollipops] @ Oct 11th 2009 3:11PM
I agree with Kipper.
I thought once you were dead that was it.
Otherwise your team would just camp by a closet until you respawned.
Also, is anyone else having trouble getting some of the crash course achievements in the 360 version?
Obie @ Oct 11th 2009 4:55PM
@Spartan:Yup, some chievos just won't unlock for me, Jumping Jack smash and Smash hit. :(
But of course we need to wait 10 times longer for an Xbox patch.
Powerlord @ Oct 11th 2009 2:38PM
I'm not sure why the PC version is referred to as DLC. Not only do you not pay for it, you can't play L4D online for the PC without upgrading to it.
However, the term is correct for the Xbox 360 version, where you have to not just choose to get it, but pay $7 for it.
Quiggy @ Oct 11th 2009 2:40PM
It probably has to do with the fact that Crash Course is content that you download. I might be wrong though.

@james
Say it with me now, "I accidentally clicked the wrong reply button"
Sly @ Oct 11th 2009 6:07PM
he didn't necessarily click the wrong reply button. comments have been moved in the past. people who KNOW and SAW who they were replying to have been moved before.
iHavepants {SteamPSN: Arkanti} @ Oct 11th 2009 7:45PM
No, people click the wrong button then bitch at Joystiq that it's the systems fault to try and make it seem like they didn't make a tiny mistake. It's happened to me a few times but I accept I clicked the reply button above or below the one I meant to, or not at all.
Fulluphigh @ Oct 11th 2009 11:11PM
Except that it happens all the time. You can click the correct button, and if somebody replies to a different comment that causes the entire thread to shift, your comment can be moved (If I recall correctly, that's the gist of it).
Archon (PSN: Archonik, XBL: DarkARHN) @ Oct 12th 2009 8:56AM
Remember this thread when a guy asked a question and there was no replies under it so everyone commented just to realize that all the replies got teleported to a completely unrelated comment. And remember how the innocent commenter hated us because he selected "E-Mail me when someone replies to this comment". Yeah, that was fun. There was like 50 replies anchored to the wrong comment and none to the right one because the reply system decided that it hates ALL of us...
Good times.

we're not coming out the closet, you can just go away...

Well, I was just standin' here and Tom Cruise locked himself in the closet,
Asked myself why won't Tom Cruise just come out of the closet,
And nobody has no answers so I pull out my gun
Tell me why Tom Cruise in the closet or else I'm gonna shoot someone
Just standin' here Tom Cruise locked himself in the closet,
Then John Travolta climb down
John Travolta in the closet too,
Please Tom Cruise and John Travolta come outta the closet,
I'm gunna calm myself down and I pull out my gun!
If Tom Cruise and John Travolta don't come out of the closet
I'm gunna cap this bitch
Now I've been asked to come up here, and get you both outta the closet,
Man this is some crazy shit, why you both just come out of the closet an the said,
"Were not coming out of the closet, so you can just go away"
But everyone wants you out of the closet'
"That doesn't matter, cause we gunna stay"
Now I'm starting to get angry, so I pull out my gun
I'm gunna give you the count to three to open this closet,
One,I'm gonn a shoot you both
Two, I'm gonna cap some bitch
Three....
Now I'm in the closet, now I'm in the closet too.

"rampant R. Kelly syndrome"
I applaud you Joystiq, my good man. Well played.
[ArchiGamer] [80% ENTERTAINMENT BY VOLUME] @ Oct 11th 2009 3:22PM
So, they were trapped in a closet?
AwesomeTown @ Oct 11th 2009 3:39PM
Hopefully they patch the 360 version soon, the achievements are very glitchy.
ShadowOp @ Oct 11th 2009 3:43PM

Seeing Zombieland last night was like watching L4D: The Movie.

Every time a gun-wielding civilian is micturated upon in this fair city, Valve has to compensate his teammates?
iFargle @ Oct 11th 2009 8:05PM
Ever since the update, I've been getting errors after joining games: "Disconnected Server not able to authenticase user with Steam." Any ideas as to why this is happening?
