Update: A Valve representative has confirmed the veracity of the two posters as official, saying simply, "They're legit."
Original: It is with much necessary reservation that we bring you the two purported Left 4 Dead 2 campaign posters for "Dead Center" and "Hard Rain" that you see above, completing the set of five campaign missions. Found over on Taiwanese website GNN, we're highly skeptical of their veracity for the time being, but felt their quality at least bared mention -- if this isn't real thing, it's damn impressive. Being Danny Doubters though, we're still a bit thrown by consistency differences when compared to the game's other three posters. We've sent a note to Valve for comment, so until we hear back, the images will remain strictly in our "unconfirmed" pile.
In the meantime, ponder this: "Dead Center" translated by Google from Mandarin Chinese is "Death Marketplace." Fact!
[Thanks Lockwolf!]

Everytime I see 'Hard Rain', I can't help but think about that film with Morgan Freeman and Christian Slater.
It sends chills up my spine - more so than the thought of fighting zombies.

One could branch off Obie's joke and say that the president doesn't care about infected people.
However the joke doesn't work for Obama because of his healthcare reform proposal.... >.>

I feel pretty confident that these are real. Apparently there have been videos/screenshots of these levels out there, just with no specific campaign attached to them.
Also, I want one of those gator dolls pictured in the Dark Carnival poster! Hopefully we'll see 'em on the Valve Store someday. :P

My only real issue with this whole debacle has been the Crash Course campaign. It was too short, uninspired, and felt like the sort of thing someone cranked out in the space of an afternoon. Or worse, levels cut from other campaigns dredged out of the recycling bin.
Whether or not Valve ever intended to carry through on their promise of several DLC releases for the original is moot to me, I got my money's worth off the original four campaigns several times over. It's a great game, I had a great time, no complaints. But throwing the community half a bone in the form of Crash Course was pretty half-assed, in my opinion.
Rather than boycotting, I'll be renting. It's about as much righteous indignation as I can manage these days.

The Crash Course DLC wouldn't have been so bad if it was free on the 360. I think it'd doubtful I'll purchase L4D2 on 360 now I have a gaming pedigree PC which will actually be supported and far from Microsoft's stupid restrictions/money-grabbing. But my heart goes out to console gamers still. Microsoft/Valve/Chutulu gave someone a bum-deal over pay-for Crash Course.

I eagerly await the mod that replaces the other survivors with Will, Carlton and Hillary.
Then they can all slay the infected as they try to get home to Bel Air.

That's the reason I want to get the PC version. I haven't played a PC game since Half-Life in 1999.

I miss that show so much. The 90s were the best.

You forgot Geoffrey the butler. That guy was all kinds of cool. That guy can probably handle his kitchenware pretty well against zombies. He would bring class to the apocalypse

I think the best part about these is definitely the movie-esque posters.

Not to mention the wonders that will come out of the modding community. Everyone who can should get this for PC. The mods are worth it. That, and the level of customization options one has when setting up a server.

1. I didn't know dark carni. was a episode...I'd still like maybe two more
2. I was going with the console version. My PC is crap and could barely run the first.

Yeah, exactly. Did you hear about L4D3 being confirmed? I found this screen shot of it a few hours ago on the official Steam page.

That's a lot of effort to go through just for a joke, Steve. Even if it was a hackmeat MS Paint job...
You're a teenager, or twenty something... you're not supposed to put that much effort into anything you do.

Eh, normally I'd bash you for screwing up your comment with "if" and "though", but today I don't really care. However, I DO care enough to type this up. Think of it as a consolation prize.
