You should do research before accusing other people of not paying attention, because there's plenty of footage up. Hell, Giantbomb has like a 20 minute quick look of the game up...and it looks as bad as you'd expect after watching these trailers.

Well, color me wrong... I did a quick search to find some gameplay on Google and all I got were the youtube vid trailers. Guess I should've done a search on a gaming specific site...

I'm going to watch it on Giant Bomb and comment back since there is something to judge now!

Well, it seems like a top notch game but I've never been one for Never Winter Nights. I was hoping it'd be more like KOTOR or Mass Effect.

If you're playing on the consoles it's more of a hybrid between KOTOR and Mass Effect. If you're playing on PC it's more like Baldur's Gate then NWN-- yes there's a big difference.

I hate CG trailers. The real graphics and gameplay never live up to CG trailers. i.e. ODST. If only the mouth and lips moved as well in the real game as they did in this trailer

Dragon Age's negative reception by a few thick-headed gamers is definitely not deserved. The game is in top Bioware form, every bit as good as Baldur's Gate, NWN, and KOTOR - games which no RPG fan would dare talk down. I loved the direction they took with Jade Empire (my favorite console RPG last generation) and Mass Effect (my current favorite console RPG this generation), but I couldn't be happier they are returning to their old grim high-fantasy setting with traditional RPG governance.

It's not uncommon for people to be wrong about a game before it's release, but all the naysayers are dead wrong in Dragon Age's case. I hope their prepared to put on their dunce caps and sit in the corner until Mass Effect 2.

Let me ask you a question about Dragon Age Origins ... Does this game support online co-op? It gave me that vibe from the team work in the trailer but I don't know if those are NPC's or if that can be a friend online. Yeah I really loved Jade Empire ... like it better than Mass Effect & KOTOR personally.

I don't understand how people are drawing conclusions about the game from a CG trailer. The only thing I learned is that there's apparently a character or class that can transform into a giant spider, which in my book is pretty awesome.

Giant Bomb did a quick look of the game last week, finally giving me a sense of how the game looks and plays.

The advertising for the game has been awful. Heavy metal, gore and sex scenes, it's like they're trying to make the game look like something it's not.

The actual gameplay footage looks great though, it looks exactly like a modern version of Baldurs Gate and it's nice to see more games that aren't trying to cater to non-gamers by being as easy as impossible.

Seeing as how I was just recently playing Baldur's Gate 2...uh, no. It really was better. Now, I'm not saying all the writing was good. Aerie was as annoying as it gets. But Bioware has embraced Aerie and has made ALL their female characters the same BAAAAAAW I HAVE ISSUES co-dependent nightmares since then.

And the VA's were a lot better. This lot is just phoning it in.

Yes, the writing in Baldur's Gate 2 will be unrivaled by this company. But really do you expect anything more? I don't think Scorcese will ever be able to top Mean Streets or Taxi Driver.

And it's nice to see them return to the fantasy setting and Baldur's Gate style combat. I was kind of getting tired of the whole sci-fi thing (although Mass Effect 2 will be great).

I've been more of a LOTR > Star Wars guy.

She's a terrible voice actress and far too over used in games. Next we'll be hearing Cam Clarke and Nolan North.

Probably the one thing I didn't like about this trailer.

Insider Scoop: Know a guy who did QA for this game for over half a year. Played every class, done every mission, heard every dialog.

Told me, best game he has played, bar none. Beats BG2 no problem. And this guy is a heavy RPG fan, he played the lot.

He has pre-ordered the Collectors Edition of this game, and is ready play it come nov. 6 (European release date).

So it's either down to a) he is suffering from Stockholm syndrom, or b) this is a really good game.

Either way, got me pumped for it, prepping to pre-buy it once it hits steam sometime this or next week.

I'm partially amazed at all the bitching in this post but it's the internet so I guess that's the thing to do.

I do love me some Bioware though. Can't wait for all their games, especially this one.

Man I hope this is good and the gore doesn't get in the way. Hopefully there is a good story to be found in here. I can't help but feel that it is the ugly stepchild of Mass Effect though...with all it's frilly bells and whistles.

Well, I have it pre-ordered. I guess I'm gambling with my money a little. But Bioware has always been solid for me.

I wish the game would actually resemble the excitement of this trailer. Instead it's just point-and-click dullness.

Take a look at Call of Duty MW2's trailer. The trailer is just gameplay footage. The gameplay itself is exciting enough that you can make a trailer out of it. But with RPG games like Dragon Age and Warhammer, you have to make a CGI trailer out of thin air in order to make the game look exciting.

I played a bit of a demo at GenCon this year (360 version), and aside from the facial animations looking a bit funky I loved the game. It felt like a PC RPG. The menu was little weird at first but I got used to it quickly. Seemed awesome to me - true Bioware at work.

Looked good to me man.
As for Mass Effect, with all the hype... should I give it a second try?
I gave up on it after the second mission as the combat system was a pain.
(FPS, yet, not polished?)

So, men are allowed to wear warm clothing in Dragon Age, but women aren't?
