Man I hope this is good. I loved Fist of the North Star.

The article says will be out sometime next year but somehow I doubt it will show up anywhere other than Japan..... Ever.

This would be an awesome reboot of the stale Warriors series. And who wouldn't want to go all "fist of the north star" on some fools?

Please make it happen for the Westerners :)

most retarded anime ive ever watched.. i still cant get over him defeating a TANK by kicking it a bunch of times.. ok i turned my brain off for previous episodes but id have to be brain dead for that 1 episode.. /rant I do like FOTNS & this game is a perfect concept. i wouldn't mind trying it out.

I'm confused as to how you find it to be the most retarded anime you've ever watched and you still like. Do you not watch a lot of anime? There's plenty of more insane stuff to be found coming out of Japan than a guys defeating a tank by kicking it...

its the nostalgia that makes me like it. i like oldschool stuff & dystopian themes. & it was retarded because you dont see humans defeating tanks with their bare hands very often. (yes everything else, i accepted) its just ridiculous how impossible it is to kill him.. & i was certain he'd need help to beat a tank.. & he is ONLY HUMAN.. not a cyborg, not a SAIYAN.

He's not "only human", he's a super powerfull martial artist. This is fiction, just like Super Sayans, so I don't see why this should be considered ridiculous.

Comparing it to reality? Now THAT'S ridiculous. I mean, can you make someone explode by stabbing their forehead with your thumbs? Can you?

Of course you can have your opinion, but saying it is retarded because something is not realistic, well, that's retarded.

That *has* to be in the game...I'm hoping the title is a huge facelift of the likes of Final Fight and Streets of Rage.

After Final Fight Streetwise, I doubt that either series will come back as a prime contender in the beat-'em up franchise. Developers just can't seem to nail these games like they used to (apart from God Hand).

Streets of Rage Remake will probably be the best classic beat-'em up remake in recent years, if Bombergames ever gets finished with it. Hokuto no Ken is easier to do because of the sheer insanity of the series (giant bosses, people exploding, lots of demons getting pounded by Kenshiro, etc.). It's perfect for Koei to do.

So we've got Dynasty, Samurai, Gundam, and now Fist of the North Star. There's also that Warriors game based on Troy coming at some point.

I ended up getting rid of Gundam 1 after realizing there wasn't nearly as much replayability as previous games...but Warriors Orochi 2 is probably the best to date in terms of things to do. Depending on how open they leave this game (a lack of any real Free Mode killed Gundam for me), it could be a lot of fun.

I'm hoping at some point Koei/Tecmo just say "Screw it!" and throw all of their Musou characters into one massive Warriors game. I'd buy that so fast...

Orochi2? Really? I still found it way overbalanced in favor of the player, making even Hard and Chaos levels a cakewalk after awhile - and then when you can make that one weapon add-on that causes your weapon's elements to fire all the time, your character basically turns into a walking ginsu knife. Cutting through armies and officers alike, like a ginsu knife through an old boot - and look it still slices tomatoes with ease! To unlock the final dream missions, you have to basically max out about 1/3rd of the whole cast to get those !$%*# proficiency levels...which never seemed to do anything in the game even BEFORE you become ungodly super-powered. Yeah, I did it, but geeze that final grind was about 15 hours of mind numbing repetition.

I'm currently playing through DW Gundam2, which is a vast improvement over the previous title. The mission system has enough challenge such that no matter how powerful your characters & suits get, the game will still hand your head to you if you're aren't careful. Of course that was before I discovered how unbalancing the pilot skill DG CELLS is. Oh well. You still have to be careful but now even the toughest mission is doable...just annoying.

Tons of characters (with unique movesets), plenty of levels, dream modes...

This is comparred to N3, which was 6 characters each with their own 3-4 levels, and Gundam which had multiple pilots but very little diversity amoung levels/playable characters.

I might have to rent GW2 though if it's improved as much as you say it has. I currently have DW6: Empires due to the fun I have with CAW tiding me over while I wait for more Warriors titles.

I'm a sucker for Musou games, so Transformers Musou would definitely be a good idea. Much, much better than the other games they've been producing.

I recall a really old Genesis (or was it SMS?) FotNS game. I thought it was cool that you would literally punch people and their heads would explode.

Then their corpses would wriggle around. Fantastic!
