We've got some good news for anyone already feeling just a bit overwhelmed by the impending holiday game season. Toys R Us is running a "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" sale this week for all video games. Even better, the sale also covers accessories and items like Microsoft Points cards. Intrepid NeoGAFers have even uncovered some pre-orders that qualify for the promotion (any Dark Void or Bayonetta fans out there?). The sale ends Saturday, October 17, so hop to it if you're looking to save some cash.

Did this yesterday. Got Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend and Marvel vs. Capcom 2. If you order new releases online though, be prepared for backorder notices and delays on shipping. That's what happened to me. Still, it's too good a deal to pass up. There's a forum over at CAG (cheapassgamer.com) that has two promotional codes you can put in that save you some extra cash on your purchases too!

I scored Uncharted 2 & 2 copies of Brutal Legend, one of which I'll trade in at Walmart for Borderlands next week.

Of course console games will be cleared out by all you guys. Let's hope the PC game section will still be bountiful for me to choose from, that is if they even have sizable PC game sections. Everyone hates PC gaming.

No Demon's Souls, no go. I got Uncharted 2 last night at midnight, can't think of anything else I'd want that wouldn't be spending just for the sake of doing so. I'm a picky gamer.

I'm with you on that, I just can't think of anything I want. Dirt 2 maybe, brutal legend? but those don't seem like $60 purchases to me. I already have uncharted 2. Most of the games I want I can get used for $30 or less so it's be cheaper to go that route.

Preorders were not working for me on the b2g1, maybe they fixed the glitch...

Yeah, that is what TRU said to us yesterday too. That is total BS. It is listed online as being included in the deal. TRU removed the "Add to cart" button on their website to cover this up also. Go to there site and disable JavaScript. You will see it says that these are "In Stock". Since JavaScript is disabled, you can't add it to the shopping cart. Looking through the code on the website, you can clearly see they disable it for the points cards.

does this deal work with PSN cards?

we do not count pre orders as video games because you only put a $5 deposit on the game. you do not pay the full amount until you pick up the game

I assume this is only for Toys R Us in the US. If not, I'll be on my way to Toys R Us as soon as work finishes.

This is a good opportunity to grab Operation Flashpoint, that one kind of fell off the radar for most people. It looks pretty good, and at this promotion, a steal actually.

Only problem is Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising isn't listed on their website as even being in stock until the 15th of October (despite the fact that it came out last week everywhere else) and doesn't show up as part of the B2G1F deal, since it technically is classified as a "pre-order". But perhaps after the 15th, it will change on their site.

that's garbage. I was just over there and picked it up for a friend so that we can now do co-op.
Just hoof it over there to a retail store if you can then.

Looks like this applies to online orders too, sweet. Too bad there's no Demons Souls. :(

If Halo ODST is rated M, why is it being shown with a kid who's clearly far from the recommended age? Is Toys R Us promoting games deemed inappropriate for minors as suitable for them? Seems a bit iffy really when there is so much bollocks about retailers selling indiscriminately. I would have thought they would be more careful, if for nothing more to avoid being used as an example of a bad retailer by the anti-violent game lobby.

Just picked up 3 copies of Uncharted 2 today for the price of 2! Wish Tekken 6 was out by now, it would've been nice to have picked that up as the free game.

Damn you, it's ones like you that made it nearly impossible for this to work out for me to find the damn games today!

I went to my closest TRU, and got Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend, and Need for Speed Shift. Too bad they didn't have Fallout 3: GOTY or Demon's Souls, but still got an awesome deal.

I was just there today. I went to pick up Uncharted 2 which they only had 3 copies left so I rushed over there and they told me about this so I immediately acted on it. It took me 30 minutes to decide what else I wanted. I knew I also wanted Brutal Legend and then I needed to pick one more game. I decided on The Beatles: Rock Band since that is something I would not spend my own money on. Maybe I should have gotten Wii Sports Resort instead... or not.

Doesn't seem like PC games are including in the list. It doesn't show the offer on the Product Page.
