Dragon Age: Origins character creator, community site active

If you'd prefer to be a bit more constructive with your Dragon Age: Origins lust, you can check out the BioWare Social Network, which also launched today. The site's the perfect forum to participate in the time-honored internet ritual of telling other people that their character builds are useless, only three weeks before the game's even out! Both the character creator and the BWSN can be found on the official Dragon Age site.

I wonder if the PC character creator will be as robust as the console version. I'd love to get an idea of what my options are.

I played with the character creator yesterday and now I'm jones'n for the game. I wish the PC one supported Games for Live. I'll probably get the 360 version for the achievements.

There isn't much to the creator. Sure, I can make a guy who looks like a biker, but with a grand total of three classes and inability to actually pick starting skills, the customization is weak. It's heavily cosmetic.
That said, I still have high hopes for the game itself, I just won't be able to get the skill variety I had hoped for.

I think the character creator itself was somewhat limited (for example only being able to pick two backgrounds), which seems kind of silly to me.
Still a day one purchase.

You can take any of the origins. It all depends on your race and class.
Human - Fighter or Rogue - Human Noble
Dwarf - Fighter or Rogue - Dwarf Noble, Dwarf Commoner
Elf - Fighter or Rogue - City elf, Dalish elf
Human or Elf - Mage - Magi origin
Total of 6 origins.

Yeah, shared with the 2GB main. I didn't really expect it to work anyway, but I did give it my best shot. I even made the effort of pressing the overclock button!
