WoW requires Battle.net login starting Nov. 11
A quick note for the World of Warcraft fans out there: Starting on November 11 (Nov. 12 in Europe, apparently), all WoW players will be required to log into the game using a Battle.net account -- presumably to pave the way for the upcoming new features. Our friends at WoW.com have put together some handy resources to make the change as painless as possible. They've also compiled a quick list of solutions for players that are still resistant to the idea. For those that have yet to merge their current WoW account with Battle.net, now's the time to get it done. After all, no one wants to be deprived of even a second of sweet, sweet Azeroth.
Besides, players that merge their accounts get a free penguin pet named Oswald. You can't beat that!

"They've also compiled a quick list of solutions for players that are still resistant to the idea."
I didn't see a solution to the problem of not being able to play BECAUSE you merged your account, while everyone who held back is still able to log on.
Would love a solution to this one WoWInsider. Perhaps that's why I'm 'resistant' to the idea. I like being able to play the game.
Oh.. and authenticators.. while hailed as the solution to everything aren't available to everyone. Blizzard refuses to ship them to some countries. Just FYI.. not everyone lives in North America.

Good time to go outside and rethink your lives, WoW players. Is hitting a rock for 12 hours a day really a good use of time?
CaramelZappa @ Oct 14th 2009 7:03AM
Hey, I'm no WoW fan either, but asking them if it's a good use of time is just silly. Someones always going to think you should be spending your time in a "better" way. Who cares? Just do what makes you happy, right?

Ah, quite right, good sir! QUITE RIGHT!
I shall now disable my WoW account so I may cure cancer. WoW's really the only reason I haven't yet!

Your right, 100% of the WoW population sits on it for 12 hour sessions a day, and we all don't have jobs or college classes.
TL;DR: You're a jackass

Rethink my life? What? Because I play a video game, and you mistakenly believe I play it for 12 hours a day?
Why don't YOU stop playing video games all day, go outside and rethink your life? Video games rot your brain and make you violent didn't you know? Just ask Jack Thompson.
Idiot.
(Come to think of it.. you'll probably love Jack Thompson, you both have the same approach to facts.)

Instead of "players that," "those that," and "players that," shouldn't it be "players who," "those who," and "players who" ... ?

You are technically correct: the best kind of correct
Veko @ Oct 14th 2009 7:26AM
I won't lie, I put it off until just three days ago but, it isn't that complex of a problem. If you haven't done it yet, you just need to.

Oswald was renamed back to Mr. Chilly as of the latest PTR build.
