Band Hero demo walking on Xbox Live

The Major sends word that a Band Hero demo is now available on Xbox Live Marketplace. The demo allows players to try out three different songs in the new, family-friendly Hero title and offers both the Party Play mode and the new Sing-Along mode. The three playable songs are:

Finger Eleven - "Paralyzer"
Katrina & The Waves - "Walking on Sunshine"
Taylor Swift - "Picture to Burn"

That's right, Taylor Swift is right there. With some clever positioning and a few mirrors, you might be able to convince your daughter this is the full game, saving you the trouble of actually buying it. Good luck.

There's a better demo of this available at most Best Buys (it came with the DJ Hero demo apparently)

And judging from that demo, Band Hero is just Guitar Hero. I mean seriously...there is NOTHING setting the two apart from each other except that Band Hero is apparently designed for girls (everything is purple and bejeweled)

I thought it was just a pop version of GH and all, not a yaaaay shiny bejeweled version for GURLZ.

That said, I enjoyed singing I'm Walking on Sunshine. A lot.

Agreed. They used to play that song OVER AND OVER, and it's such a mediocre song. It's barely above Kryptonite in my opinion.

It doesn't help that my favorite radio station was sold, and became ESPN Radio...

I was saddened and dismayed after a few hundred times of hearing that wretched song, especially knowing that Finger Eleven actually had substantially better output a few years prior. And no, I couldn't avoid it. Work.
