Elder Scrolls' 'The Infernal City' book has cover, release date

Bethesda Softworks has revealed the cover for The Infernal City, the first of two Elder Scrolls books the publisher plans to produce. The novel, written by Greg Keyes, will make its way to store shelves November 24 ... the audio book will only have six voice actors (OK, we made that last part up).

Alexander S.: Question: Where is the water generated from that just flows out of this flying city?
Dave H.: A wizard did it.
Alexander S.: That's your answer for everything.
Ben G.: Yeah, Dave's wrong anyway. A whole bunch of wizards would be required for something like that.
Alexander S.: They have a wizard on the "Hamster Wheel of Water Generation."
JC F.: How could you even keep the city's inferno going with all that water?
Justin M.: It's a water inferno.

Wow, that cover art is absolutely beautiful. I was not even aware that there were books coming out. Color me interested.

Pic has been up on Amazon for a few weeks, guess I shoulda hit the old tip line. Cover looks great, but story doesn't seem in character with the Scrolls. I will read it no matter what.

On topic, interesting, Elder Scrolls was a great game, maybe it'll be the same for the book. I hope so. So many people releasing books now a days, or maybe it's just me paying more attention.

Which Elder Scrolls? It irritates me when people refer to the Elder Scrolls series as Oblivion when Morrowind was 10x better.

Elder Scrolls' 'The Infernal City' I thought it was the new ES game! ... until I finished reading the post title...but I am somewhat interested in the book with that epic picture.

I love the Elder Scrolls lore, and I'm sure I will love the book as well. Also, nice cover art.

Don't even think about stealing the books from your local book store. I hear they've hired the Imperial Guard to help insure the books aren't stolen.

ok having just played oblivion recently, that comment about the six voice actors is priceless.

It was strange the first time I talked to a begger. He had a raspy voice then I asked him about rumours and his voice was the same as a normal person.

When is the next Elders Scroll game coming??

I read something on Joystiq not long ago that seemed to indicate that the next Elder Scrolls game was years away. Which makes me sad, since I recently replayed through Oblivion a bit just to finish the Thief quests (got the ring bug the first time I played it through) and it has reminded me that I really enjoy playing Elder Scrolls games!

Ok, thanks for answering tho. Lets hope it will be out soon :P

I put this on my amazon wish list. I am really intrigued about this and I can't wait to read it. Chances are once I do start reading it I'm going to dive into playing Oblivion once again.

Should be a good book though. I really liked the Elder Scrolls.

I need to read more of his stuff. I've only read his collaboration with Neil Gaiman, Good Omens.

You should check out his Diskworld books. Monty Python meets Harry Potter-esk style stories. He's an amazing writer and his humor is hysterical. He's one of my all time favorite authors. You won't be able to read them fast enough. lol

You're all wrong. The water is pumped up to the island by the transparent pipe that is obviously holding that island up in the sky.

I mean, an giant land mass is floating in mid-air and you object to water flowing off of it?
