PSN Thursday: Begun, the Mushroom Wars have

The PSN update returns this week with another game that looks adorable and safe, yet conceals some disturbing ideas. Mushroom Wars looks beautiful and innocent, but like any good RTS, it's all about exterminating the competition. Genocide isn't supposed to be cute. This comes following Capybara's Critter Crunch, last week's "cute, yet disturbing game," and remember Fat Princess? That wasn't all that long ago either. We're sensing a theme ... a theme we can't help but put money down on. Check out the full PSN update after the break.

Those are old. They appeared on there about two weeks ago at least.

Man, if I worked for Pixel Junk, I would punch the Mushroom Wars developers right in the face. All of them. Right in the face. Who are they to basically rip off that game?

They are both vector graphics and Monsters did not invent that style buddy...it is vector flash style...now the music on the other hand you can directly compare it to PIxelJunk monsters...very similar.

The music is almost identical, and the vector look is almost a direct copy. Its blatant. Its far worse than the similarities between Call of Duty and Bad Company. Those developers have no creativity of their own, pity.

Has anyone tried Mushroom Wars yet? Looks interesting. Might get it if its good.

FYI detuned is like a fucking acid trip. just like linger in shadows but even more trippy. very fun though. just got all the trophies

I'm a little dissapointed by the lack of info on the full games this week. But that RandC...is that a permanent price drop? Hope so. I still need to go through the previous one(do I need to play the ps2 ones to enjoy the first ps3 one?)

Also, the psp games that are 14.99...is that their permanent price? hope so, sure beats the regular 20.

No, you only need to play the PS3 games. The PS2 games belong to another story arc.

The QFB price drop is temporary, according to the Blog. No end date is given, so you should assume it's this week only. The PS2 games are dirt cheap, but no you don't have to finish them first.

Why do all these cute little 2D games and the like have to go out on PS3 first? I think Mushroom Wars would have been perfect for PSP. I hope it comes out on PSP, until then I won't be able to play it, no PS3 :(

This kinda maybe sorta looks exactly like Dyson/Eufloria's play system.

I absolutely love PixelJunk Eden, I even play from time to time when I have 15 minutes to waste. I knew I had to buy it the moment I played the demo (there is a demo!). Give a try, many people I know don't like it, but to me it's one of the best PSN games ever.

LOL noo i gotta stop myself from thinking that the S in BOTH logos can be made easily into a nazi symbol.
