Zen Studios announces Planet Minigolf for PSN

Zen Studios, most notable for Zen Pinball, Pinball FX and, strangely, The Punisher: No Mercy, has announced a new title for the Playstation Network. Entitled Planet Minigolf, we're guessing it strays closer to the pinball camp than the killing-bad-guys camp. The game is set to feature 144 holes of mini-golf spread among "several exhilarating courses around the world," complete with plenty of "crazy, obstacles." You'll be able to choose between six customizable characters.Planet Minigolf also features online multiplayer for up to six players, as well as a local "hotseat" mode, weekly tournaments and global competitions. A release date has yet to be announced. Oh, and Zen Studios also claims that the game will allow players to "embrace a brand new standard in realistic ball physics." We have nothing to add to that; it just needed to be written.

I dunno about this. If I start throwing my controllers every time that god damned gorilla closes his mouth right before the ball goes through...I'm gonna be out a lot of money.

Zen makes a fun pinball game to be sure, but realistic ball physics it did not posses. I'm ok with that as long as the game is still fun, but I hope this time at least they aren't lying.

Umm, my ball physics are A-OK, by themselves....uuhhhhh....I guess I will get on Home when this drops. Haven't been on in a while. I love Zen Pinball. Amazing game; the mini golf should be just as great...I hope....
