Jurassic: The Hunted looks awfully familiar

There's something about Activision's Jurassic: The Hunted that makes us think of something. Developed by Cauldron, it's a game about dinosaurs. More specifically, it's about men shooting dinosaurs with guns. It's really reminiscent of something, but what? Wait, wait, now we remember. It was Pipe Dream.

Jurassic: The Hunted arrives for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PS2 on November 3. We're not sure it's fair of Activision to put Modern Warfare 2 up against this kind of competition.

Am I the only person here who thinks a game about shooting dinasaurs would be FREAKIN' AWESOME, it's just that Turok, or this (from the trailer) are not very promising and then end up sucking.

Just change the title to "Carnivores 4" and I'm sold.

Yeah, all the N64 turoks had their merits.

There was another dino shooter called Dino Stalker for PS2/Xbox, it sucked. So, be careful what ye wish for.

Turok: Seeds of evil was an amazing game.

Also anyone know the Jurassic park game for genesis where it had a cheat for "Civil War" or something. I dunno those words just stick out. It was a top down adventure game.

I like those games. Hope Capcom decides to make a current-gen Dino Crisis.

After watching that I can honestly say I don't believe that this isn't a Turok game. It is. For sure.

this will probably be terrible. but, dammit, it looks freaking sweet. i mean... you are shooting dinosaurs... that's just cool. then again, why can you see their skeletons?

I believe that's supposed to be their vital organs in some sort of "VitalVision™" goggle mode for easier take-downs. Just a guess.

This looks like the best bad game of 2009.

OMG YES! I forgot about that! That was back in the old days when NFS was fun and ridiculous with what you could drive (one option was a school bus I believe)

I am pretty sure you're confusing NFS with SF Rush.

There was a cheat code in NFS2 that allowed you to race as any of the cars that were used as traffic. There was the school bus, a VW beetle, and a bunch more.

My favourite was the UFO that hovered yet left tire marks. Best racing game ever. If you don't agree, then fuck you.

When is Activision going to create a Brawl-esque game in which all their mascots battle it out? It should include this T-rex, mainly because I'm aching for a Killer Instinct 3 (Ful-Gore was a fucking beast, emphasis on beast, not fucking).

This looks all well and awesome but why did they have to include the Jurassic Park version of the Dilphosaurus?

Seriously? How do games like this get released, and other great games put aside? I really don't understand. There's absolutely no idea they can think it's a good idea to release shit like this.

It probably cost little to develop and they'll make their money back even if sales are low. Frankly you're thinking about it the wrong way too... if Activision deems this game good enough to release, can you imagine how crappy the shit they DON'T publish must be?!

This game looks JUST like Turok for PC, 360, and PS3. Almost a spiritual successor, but did anyone want a spiritual successor? Well, you're getting it anyway! The first-person stuff is done just like in that game.
