You got dead pixels?
Mines perfectly fine.
I'm considering returning it if Sony doesn't release all their games on time.

Yeah the game support has been pretty dreadful thus far as well especially with 3rd parties not being mandated to release their games on the PSN. I'm not sure why they wouldn't want to and why Sony wouldn't pressure them to do so because the platform depends on it.

But yeah I had dead freaking pixels. It was a small annoyance and one I certainly could have lived with but when I drop $250 bones on something and then that happens it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. After I realized that my Gran Turismo save (which had over 20 hours and damn near 65 cars) was locked (probably because of the import feature with GT5) I was done ... returned it that day and bought Demons Souls and the first seasons of Lie To me & Fringe on Blu-Ray.

I'm gonna keep mine, I never played my PSP enough and there's enough of a PS1 backlog on there for which I need to catch up on.

Yeah I'm sure it will get better as we move forward in terms of support. I had enough games to play for ages on the thing but the dead pixel left a bad taste. I don't dislike the platform or the idea behind it ... I'll just give it some time until they eventually release one with more HDD space.

It's possible. But if they do have a hefty markup on pricing it wouldn't make much sense to abandon stock on the product.

I don't like the idea of my game collection being worthless. If I buy 10 full priced psp games digitally, what do I really have? I can't sell them, is it really even a collection anymore? It'll never accumulate value. It's like buying a 40$ bag of chips. Once you're done with it, you've got nothing to show for it. And Sony wants to charge us more to push this on consumers? I reject the pspgo and I dread the day when all physical media is gone.

I still believe that the model will change when digital distribution becomes standard. Right now its based off of buying things like they are a store, not buying things online.

I have hope and faith, I must Crusade to the gaming land!

I hear you man but the thing is they didn't replace physical with digital as there is still a physical solution. The GO is more about convienence and portability ... smaller, no games to lug around etc ... I don't think an all digital model will come into place for quite some time and maybe never.

You know you still had the games to play so you didn't lose anything there. If you like to sell and trade stuff then it's certainly not appealing.

Yes it is convienent for sure. But for some reason I have a hard time trusting companies to be fair with DRM, and not take advantage. If you download a game from Sony, can you download it to the same device again? These games should have a serial number within the code, so pirated, and legit copies can be traced. I'd be good with a retinal scanner or an anal probe as a means of ID. You know, built right into your controller or device.

Yes, I prefer physical media, as I collect that type of stuff, but DRM is a big issue for me.

"If I buy 10 full priced psp games digitally, what do I really have?"

You're talking about games, not some kind of investment that you plan on using after you retire. In the end, you should have $400 worth of fun. There's a lot of people out there spending $100 a month on a $200 iPhone. What do they really have in the end? A sub $200 iPhone. I spend $15 in Netflix every month, what do I really have? Nothing of monetary value.

If you buy a game for $40 just because you know that you can sell it back for $20 later, why not just wait until it's $20?

The way that the PSN works in general is that you can install software on up to 5 different machines. The PSP is a little different in that you only need to physically install the game from a PC or PS3 to acquire a liscense. There actually isn't any limit what-so-ever. Also, your purchase history is kept on the "cloud" not exclusively locally (but can be done on both) so you can re-download something an infinite amount of time so long as your purchased it on your account.

If I had a penny for every person in Joystiq that moans and bitches about the PSP Go in every related article; I'd have enough for a PS3 slim and a high end PC with at least 20 games for each.

I know, it's sad how hard people are pushing to let everyone know how much they think the PSP Go is destroying the world as we know it.

The PSP Go is no fucking different than the 1000 2000 3000 upgrades give or take a few features.

I have a launch day PSP and didn't bother updating until the Go came out. I for one don't like UMDs and will only play the PSP for a select few games (that are already out except MGS PW). I really dig the Pause feature. It reminds me of a quick save / quick load feature on a pc game except faster. And the fact that I can use a PS3 controler through bluetooth. AND the Go has a built in mic (my 1000 didn't have that). So I think I got a pretty good deal going for myself.

I think it's hard for gamers to be ambivalent about anything. Everyone has to have an opinion on something, no matter how insignificant that thing is. Me? I could care less about the Go. I'm just being snarky.

I really like the idea of a PSP Go. I truly do. But I need one about as much as I need another Wii or 360 or used PS3 in my bedroom. Which would be awesome and slightly less expensive than buying a PSP Go....

...I'm gonna go talk to my wife about this.

Just spent 120 bucks today at Best Buy, they pricematched the TRU deal. I basically ran out of money, I have about 150 worth in coins lying somewhere in my room though.... hm.....

I am tempted to get this. My friend got it and I gotta say, it feels great. The screen is a nice size and looks a lot nicer than the 3000. I've never had a PSP before so this might be worth getting now. Plus, I don't need to get a memory stick, I've heard those are expensive. Now, only problem is that I gotta buy games off PS Store at higher prices, but with those cards they have that might not be a problem.

Whaaaaaat. I was just at Fry's, I didn't see it.

But I greatly lol'd at the fact that Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days was right next to Knights in the Nightmare. Glad I preordered Knights, I have an artbook to rub in people's faces. >8D

Oh, and for anyone that cares, Disgaea DS at Fry's was $12-something, and Super Robot Taisen was $20-something, also at Fry's. No PSP games worth mentioning...since the Austin Fry's was fresh out of good clearance PSP games (Save for one copy of DJMAX Fever).

I saw the ad this morning and couldnt believe it was already happening...time for the GO to drop to $ 199.00 - i guess fry's had to kick start the move...and hopefully sony is smart enough to follow.

a lower price is the only hope for the GO having any market impact.

I actually like the GO, but to me the psp 2000/3000 are already overpriced. But hey, if you got the money to burn, I'm not gonna bash you for it.

I actually work at a Fry's store, and it's sometimes shocking the deals you can get there sometimes. Demon's Souls and Uncharted 2 both launched for $50 at my store. Although I have yet to see anything on the PSP go.....
