have you played it yet? i know brutal legend has WAY more hype behind it, but so far i think borderlands is a much more purchase-worthy game. awesome splitscreen co-op alone makes this.

Well the sadly is more at Uncharted 2 not selling as well. That game is amazing.
Brutal Legend I kind of lost interest in after they started talking about the RTS elements. Borderlands doesn't look BAD by any means but I just feel like there are a lot of better games coming out. I'm waiting for a demo before I decide if I want to buy it or not. From what I've seen the AI and the actual FPS elements are pretty mediocre, And I don't know if any of my friends are getting it so the co-op isn't really a big deal for me.

Uncharted 2 just released and as far as I know there hasn't been any information about it's sales totals. Borderlands will sell more because it's on three platforms but in the long haul Uncharted 2 will push close to 4 million boxes. It will have staying power and probably a big holiday push from all the word of mouth love.

Just to extrapolate further preliminary data from Japan was positive (47,000), The Americas has 300,000 pre-orders and supposedly exceeded 450,000 copies sold on day one and Europe was allegedly the best selling region for the title. I'd expect a least 1 million global sales when the official data is tabulated from it's October release window.

I'm playing it now, got it at the walmart early. i'm a level 6 siren, havent tried the other characters but a buddy came over and we played co-op, both very fun. We only played a quick game but i didnt see where to drag in my character from my single player game, i really hope i dont have to keep them seperate.
anyway definitely reminds me of a diablo-style fps, and i would buy it over again so far.

I'll be buying this at Best Buy tomorrow. Don't like to pre-order a lot of games because I know big retail chains like Best Buy will have a lot of copies.

One excuse...no...I like my excuse...I want to play it on the superior platform...the PC. I unfortunately I have to wait for no reason whatsoever except the fact that they want to drive people to buy the more expensive version on the consoles.

We checked this morning, and the local EBgames in my part of Canada is NOT matching Wal-Mart's 39.99. I was part of a mad rush at Futureshop about 20 minutes ago to get 1 of 4 copies. I was lucky to get it - about 7 people were pissed they didn't.

Wow, didn't think this game would actually command a midnight madness release. I really want to check this one out, though, but I don't think I'll buy it....maybe. I still want Fallout 3 after FINALLY renting it a few months ago. I was hooked and I have a feeling Borderlands is going to do the same when I rent it this week. So many good/potentially good games, so little money *sigh*
