Full Band Hero track list, importable songs revealed
If you've been savoring the slow trickle of track list announcements for Activision's tween-oriented rhythm title, Band Hero, your prolonged pleasure is about to come to a satisfying, yet abrupt end. The publisher has revealed all of the songs that will be available on the generically monikered game, and we've posted them -- along with details about compatible DLC and song importing from other Guitar Hero games -- after the jump in the least confusing manner we could possibly conjure. To help in this endeavor, we've even added a table of contents!
Man, we're seriously too nice for our own good.
All DLC for Guitar Hero: World Tour (except for Jimi Hendrix tracks) is playable in Band Hero.
69 tracks from Guitar Hero 5 can be imported into Band Hero for 480
/ $5.99 / 600 Wii Points (Xbox 360 / PS3 / Wii). In addition, 61 tracks from Band Hero can be imported into Guitar Hero 5 for 420
/ $4.99 / 500 Wii Points.
All of the previously announced forward-compatible tracks from Guitar Hero: World Tour and Guitar Hero: Smash Hits will also be available for Band Hero for 280
/ $3.49 / 350 Wii Points. For more on how importing works, read the Guitar Hero Song Importing FAQ sheet.

This set list is even worse than DJ Heroes. I pity those who had to work on this game.
xtremeholymuffin @ Oct 19th 2009 12:41PM
The DJ hero soundtrack is only shit if you don't look at it as the sum of it's parts. The tracks being mixed may be 1/2 shit, but the DJ's doing the mixes are awesome.
Hakaisou @ Oct 19th 2009 1:11PM
This game has Hollaback Girl!!!! I don't like that song therefore it sucks!!!
Dumbass. The game is all remixes. Yes they may use songs that you don't like, but the mashups sounds damn good.
But hey, it's not like you can't go to the DJ Hero website yourself and listen to a whole ton of 30 second samples from like 30 songs in the game.
E.J. @ Oct 19th 2009 2:14PM
your pity is appreciated.
ryanpaulmcgowan @ Oct 19th 2009 3:42PM
@Hakaisou
Yeah, about those mashups.
They're what I'm talking about chief.

that's a damn good mix of 2 songs i thought wouldn't work together at all.
dark_inchworm (stronger than never, ever before) @ Oct 19th 2009 10:41AM
Happy Together? Oh, you assholes. Ohhhhh dammit.
Max @ Oct 19th 2009 10:47AM
Just what I was thinking. dammit indeed.
Bobby Kotick 2: Echoes @ Oct 19th 2009 2:18PM
(replying so that I don't get pushed to page 2 because I've figured out something)
I'm not sure if anybody's aware, but 60-something tracks from GH5 can be exported to Band Hero for $6 and vise versa to GH5 for $5. I'm not trying to push anything, but I just figured it out. Band Hero is the reason for unnecessary censorship in GH5. They probably took out "to kill" (2 Minutes to Midnight) and "drunk" (The Rock Show) among others so that it would be appropriate for the little kids to play in Band Hero. This may also explain why we can't bring songs like Raining Blood or B.Y.O.B. from past games to GH5. I'm sure when Band Hero fails, Activision will reconsider their plans for exportability.
This is bullshit!
B3astofthe3ast @ Oct 19th 2009 10:48AM
I'm real happy for you Taylor, and ima let you finish, but Rock Band 2 is one of the best music games of all time! OF ALL TIME!
Jerry @ Oct 19th 2009 10:53AM
They need to add more country atrists. Not everyone is a fan of rock. Taylor Swift is a nice start, but I'm not gonna buy a whole game for 3 songs. Where's Keith Urban, or Jason Aldean, or Toby Keith, or heck, even Kenny Chesney?
MG @ Oct 19th 2009 11:00AM
^In the Rock Band: Country track pack
Nicknin10do @ Oct 19th 2009 11:00AM
Hold on, let me check....
o, here they are.

B3astofthe3ast @ Oct 19th 2009 11:02AM
Wasn't there a whole country pack for rock band?
amart @ Oct 19th 2009 11:10AM
"take you for a ride on ma big green tractor, we can go slow or we can go faster!"
GewurztraminerX @ Oct 19th 2009 11:16AM
@ Jerry
You're not alone. Though these days I'm more inclined to listen to Classic Rock / Alternative / Punk, I grew up listening to Country so I don't hate it.
A little Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, or Brooks & Dunn would be fine by me.
CrissCross87 @ Oct 19th 2009 2:49PM
Country Hero in 2010?
Mike @ Oct 19th 2009 7:38PM
Seriously, this post makes me glad I'm swapping GH5 for Fifa 10 tomorrow. I'm fine with RB 2.
Jerry @ Oct 20th 2009 5:27PM
Oh yeah, we gotta buy the whole game and THEN extra songs?
Alondra @ Nov 11th 2009 11:32AM
LMAO THE FUNNIEST THING I HAVE HEARD LIKE EVER.
Maulok @ Oct 19th 2009 10:48AM
It's crystal clear that I am not this game's target audience, nor are most of us Stiqsters so I'll withhold a snarky comment.
GewurztraminerX @ Oct 19th 2009 11:11AM
Your restraint is admirable.
Indefinite Implosion @ Oct 19th 2009 8:32PM
Yeah, this is kinda aimed at that 11-15 age bracket, as far as I can tell.
GewurztraminerX @ Oct 19th 2009 10:48AM
Not enough Queen.
Ghen @ Oct 19th 2009 11:42AM
See, again. Rock Band has you covered:
http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/16/rock-band-weekly-a-killer-queen-pack/
I don't understand why people still play GH when everything they want is in a rock band DLC or track pack.
GewurztraminerX @ Oct 19th 2009 11:47AM
No, that's my point, and exactly why I do play Rock Band over Guitar Hero
B-mac @ Oct 19th 2009 9:23PM
It's really simple. RB is far inferior when it comes to gameplay.
GewurztraminerX @ Oct 19th 2009 10:03PM
Inferior? Crazy.
Rectangles are superior to circles.
0001 @ Oct 19th 2009 10:49AM
I'll skip this one
Mike @ Oct 19th 2009 10:51AM
"61 of the chart-topping hits featured in Band Hero can be imported into Guitar Hero 5 for Xbox 360 for 420 Microsoft Points".
Sold! I was hoping they'd allow for cross-game importability between BH and GH5; mostly to be able to make my Kurt Cobain puppet sing some Hilary Duff. Woohoo!
Lawya @ Oct 19th 2009 11:24AM
I patiently await your YouTube video.
Timdogg @ Oct 19th 2009 11:36AM
Where did you read this???
bimmy @ Oct 19th 2009 10:52AM
wait....this is an actual game??? i thought it was a joke someone was making about all the versions of these rhythm games by combining rock Band and guitar Hero
Nap @ Oct 19th 2009 10:56AM
This setlist makes me really really really really wanna ziggaziggaaah
GewurztraminerX @ Oct 19th 2009 11:09AM

GewurztraminerX @ Oct 19th 2009 11:08AM
29% ok
60% meh
1% Spice Girls!
keep that $%!@ away from me! Far, far away!
*shudders*
GewurztraminerX @ Oct 19th 2009 11:25AM
10% not memorable enough to be in initial calculations?
math fail...
wormania @ Oct 19th 2009 11:10AM
I've said it before in these comment sections, but I'll do it again.
This isn't for us. It's for the normal people.
Nicknin10do @ Oct 19th 2009 12:10PM
So, I'm not normal?
=(
Mu93n @ Oct 19th 2009 12:29PM
dont worry, normal is overrated anyways
XBL: Burritoclock PSN:Herbie Hat @ Oct 19th 2009 12:32PM
Do not call them normal, I refuse to believe they are the normal ones!
Top gear RULES!
Conor @ Oct 19th 2009 11:17AM
Big Country....those fuckers! Why can't rock band pick that one up.
And I am very disturbed by the lack of Cake, in any of these music games really.
Kfunkcc @ Oct 19th 2009 3:57PM
I wouldn't want to play that many cake songs without some Horn peripherals. I'd kill for Mexico, but only if I got to play steel guitar....
George @ Oct 19th 2009 11:25AM
So this was totally not a purchase for me until I saw the setlist and OMG. This set list is 5x better then GH5 and GHWT!!!
3 Doors Down - "When I'm Gone"
Cheap Trick - "I Want You To Want Me (live)"
Maroon 5 - "She Will Be Loved"
Marvin Gaye - "I Heard It Through The Grapevine"
Papa Roach - "Lifeline"
But really I am decided to buy this after I saw one of my FAVORITE songs EVER on there..
Tonic - "If you could only see".(The way she loves me)
Plus it can export for 420 Points? Damn you Activision...
baby sea tuna @ Oct 19th 2009 11:43AM
Not to be a music snob or nothin, but really?! Maroon 5? 3 Doors Down? Did you forget your /sarcasm or what?
bongoes Sector 2814 @ Oct 19th 2009 3:39PM
I'm pretty sure he was serious. He had Cheap Trick and Marvin Gaye listed. How do you not like them?
NeoK-182 @ Oct 19th 2009 11:21AM
wow. Rock Band 1+2+DLC+Track Packs+Lego beats the shit out of this.
mainly because over 60% of the songs are out on what i just said.
GewurztraminerX @ Oct 19th 2009 11:42AM
Though I've pretty much locked in Rock Band as my platform of choice for faux-Fender feats, at least Activision has taken note and is making quite the concerted effort to have cross-compatability between their titles/DLC/export/import options.
