Sony's Playstation Blog announced today that the two expected Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time demos will hit the PSN over the next couple weeks. The first one, releasing this Thursday, is the Clank demo (he's the robot). Players will take the bucket of bolts with a destiny through the Great Clock, as he learns some "time-based abilities" for puzzle solving.
Next week will be Ratchet's turn to shake his money maker so you'll buy the game. Although the details are scarce as to what players will do in the demo, if we know anything about that lombax -- and after seven games, we certainly know plenty -- it'll involve blowing stuff up with crazy weaponry.

Cannot wait. I always loved Ratchet & Clank and the inside jokes.

This game was originally titled "Clockblockers", I think.
Also why put off the Ratchet demo until the game is already out?

Also I didn't like "Up Your Arsenal" because it had already been done.

I'm looking forward to this game.
I played a demo in Target the other day... felt weird without clank on my back.

I love getting demos, and I can't friggin wait for these. Especially on the PSN; there are nowhere near as many demos as there should be.

I'm getting this for sure. I got 3 games with the ToysRUS B2G1 free sale and I'm trading in one of those for Crack in Time.
The demo is a sweet deal though, I enjoyed the Clank parts in ToD and they should be even better now. Love how he makes copies of his self to solve puzzles!

Now I have an image of Ratchet stark naked at a sleazy strip club shaking his bare furry ass because of that lat comment.
THANKS. ALOT. JACK. ASSES.

Yeah, at $300 I'd say it's worth getting now. Uncharted 2, Ratchet, God of War, Resistance, LBP, and the ton of other PS3 exclusives really make it worth owning.
I have 2 in my house, one's my dad's cause he needed a blu-ray player, and wanted his own PS3 so he could play GT5 when it came out without me bugging him. =P

I'd just like to point out on a somewhat complimentary note, that this is an absolutely fantastic franchise that absolutely isn't being milked. It has had plenty of games out now and I'm happy to see no one bleating this complaint. Great franchises just beget more games because they have a deservedly devoted fan base. On a recent article about Halo waypoint the argument seemed to come up a little bit. Fantastic franchises, that keep coming out with quality material are not milking them.
I have a handful of friends that still do nothing but play Halo 3. It has an incredible online/multiplayer community that still loves to play the game, and those that come after it. No foul there, folks.

This will most likely end the Ratchet & Clank series on the PS3 in my opinion. I just have a feeling we wont see this franchise ever coming back for the PS3. I think Insomniac has to come up with something new for the series or they'll never bring it back either. They can't just keep shoving the same gameplay down our throats every year and they know that. I'll be owning every Ratchet & Clank game this Tuesday and I hope they've saved the best for last.

already have my preorder paid off in full, just waiting on the release date.
My biggest worry isn't that they'll run out of things to do in the game, or run out of stories to tell, it's the worry that the'll get bored making the games over and over. I do like that they have Resistance to alternate between so they can keep things fresh for the dev team.

Sometimes I'm struck with an uncontrollable urge to give Ratchet a hug. DAMN YOU SCREEN, you've foiled my attempts at huggles for the last time!
