NCsoft's Aion perches atop the US PC charts for Sept.
If the packed queues didn't hint that this was coming, NPD stated that NCsoft's Aion was the top-selling game in the US during September. The MMO overthrew the virtual souls of The Sims 3 -- not that it matters to those ever-present dolls of the PC charts, as the franchise occupies two other spots on the "top 20" with Sims 2 bundles.
Champions Online showed up to the party in third place, with World of Warcraft taking three separate spots on the chart. Check out the full list after the break.

Mumbo Jumbo Assortment sounds like an awesome Banjo-Kazooie spin-off.

While Aion is on top of the list. I wonder how long it will last for. The game is nothing more than a money sink hole, exp grinding, tank and spank everything game. I'm still playing the game wanting to see what the endgame is like before I can truly judge the game. If it turns out bland and boring then I'll just sell my account and move on to something new.
Also the game is filled with a ton of bots and gold spammers.

what I find most amazing is that people will spend hundreds of hours and months of playing before judging the game? If it's boring now it's not going to get a whole lot better. If it does get better we need to ask why the hell we're expected to grind for months to get to the "fun" stuff.

@No Wheel Bicycle
Because these type of games you need to reach certain level before you can actually start enjoying the game. Once you've reached that level and join a good guild, the raids, pvp and all the fun stuff starts. Also that's when equipment upgrades and items are obtained.
Now, difference is Korean MMO's are hardcore hardcore....unlike WoW.

Agree w/ Bicycle.

thats where your wrong we spend the first month lvling which is argueably only intresting the first time providing theres quests to fill the lvls out which aion doesnt have after 20 IMO then theres the end game content whether or not its intresting enough cant be decided till your there although considering i havent heard any pros or cons about the end game i am not feeling like ill make it much further

I heard there were a lot of gold spammers in this game. Too bad. I mean, a few sure. But when I keep hearing that they're everywhere. Well that's lame.

You just failed my friend.
"Once you've reached that level and join a good guild, the raids, pvp and all the fun stuff starts."
Sadly Aion has no raids, no endgame. It has nothing that requires a good guild.
What it has is a dungeon set of armor that you can only complete if you make 6 different characters, level them to 30, and then send all the pieces to 1 of them. What it does have is 2 level 45+ that are just as repetitive and boring as the 25-45 dungeons; keep the take a live, don't break the crowd control.
There's nothing hardcore about Aion. It just takes much longer then WoW to hit the level cap which doesn't mean anything IMHO because the level 50 content is exactly the same as the level 25 content.

Oh i get it, it's because they have wings.

Everyone in Aion is drinking Red Bull.
shoan @ Oct 21st 2009 11:24AM
nah everyone is smoking crack the game is junk unless you like grinding. I bought the game and played 2 weeks out of my 4 week game time. I kick myself in the rear for wasting 50 bucks on this game. your milage may vary but for me and this is my own personal opinion is that I don't like this game.

Aion isn't bad I am playing it not going very hard on it. I got to level 23 and I have slowed down my friend hit 27 and says from there on it is a grind, in the Abyss. Were anything goes.
