how did batman look any different? it looked beautiful on my PS3, and the 360 version didn't have differences noticeable by any normal person. if you were looking that hard, then you need to get out of the damn house.

ghostbusters had a noticeable difference, so i'll just leave that one.

Well I hope that all the issues with at least the Xbox 360 version get sorted out by the time I have a chance to get this game...

Their test environment isn't identical to the real global environment of the PSN...which strikes me as odd. It would seem to invite unexpected bugs. Is this something that Gearbox/2K would do on its own, or does Sony not allow live testing of games on the PSN prior to launch?

It would be hard to duplicate the PSN exactly in a test environment unless Sony lets them run their games on the network. However, even in that condition, you only have, at most, 100 people playing and not the thousands on PSN.

This kind of thing is hard to do on all platforms, not just the PS3.

Already fixed?
Server-side bug, then...
or maybe not. Since it's a bug with the online part, the patch could be downloaded and installed in the background...Offline players wouldn't get the patch, but they wouldn't notice the bug either.

I'm surprised to see the problem on only one system...Not sure how that happened.

I have a few minor tiffs here and there with this game, but honestly, it's my favorite game this year. Bought the 360 version to play with friends, even though I have a Steam order for the PC version. I can't wait to get the definitive experience in a few days.

The game is already very good, and looks great, but the nicer textures will certainly be sweet.

I don't buy the excuse; the 360 version seems to work just fine (I picked up one 360 copy and one ps3, to be honest I'd rather just run with the ps3 but a few of my friends are hardcore 360 ppl who refuse to switch).

But the upside, they've already acknowledged it and are fixing it...hopefully the fix is quick.

I mean, we've still got games where the developer said they were going to fix it yet the online's still jacked up (e.g. the legendary patch that Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood was supposed to have received).

The PS3 Cell is a very tricky CPU to program on. This makes debugging harder and makes it easier for bugs to creep into applications

its good to see that they are taking the time to fix issues for the consumers unlike EA's FIFA 10 who dont give a crap about its consumers

I have the PS3 version and I can get it to only play in 720 though the back clearly states it can do 1080. Maybe I am just a retard.

It shows what resolutions it's compatible with but I'm 99.9% sure that Borderlands is only 720. If the game box is anything like Uncharted 2, one of those resolutions on the back is a different color. That's the native resolution of the game.

I read the headline and didn't think it was a big deal, but then I saw the number of comments and got curious to see what everyone was talking about...

@eeeeeeee

where exactly did you hear that? the game runs perfectly on the 360, and even reviews have been stating it. Borderlands runs on UE3 which is a 360 leaning engine.

Where the hell did you hear UE3 was a 360 leaning engine? the last I heard it was a Pc engine shoehorned onto both consoles. Plus its not exactly Epics best.

Um, this update is bull****, as the game hasn't been fixed. I was going to boot up a game with my friend but I can't see him, because for some reason, he doesn't show up on my friends list. He can see me and he's sending me invites, but I don't get any of them - because according to this game, he's not added as my friend.

They didn't fix ****.
