Trivium to rock God of War III with exclusive tune

We can all admit the God of War series is pretty metal -- it's about a dude killing gods and tearing apart most of the Greek mythos' bestiary with his bare hands! And even though all of the orchestral tunes playing Kratos along his rampages have certainly been nice so far, Sony has seen fit to spice it up a bit and tap metal band Trivium for an exclusive track for God of War III.

The news was revealed by Trivium guitarist/vocalist, Matt Heafy, during an interview with Baltimore rock station 98Rock's Kid Christoff. It's definitely an "original song," Heafy said -- don't expect a tune lifted from one of the band's previous albums. If you're looking for a sneak preview, we suggest you crank this and watch this.

No idea.

You could have picked a better trivium song to introduce people to them. ie a gunshot to the head of trepidation or pull harder on the strings of you martyr. either way glad to see that this game is going to have a good soundtrack so i dont play on mute with trivium on in the background anyway.

and yes I agree not the best song to introduce people to the band

Wait..... There are good Trivium songs!?!?! If you are into generic crap metal, possibly. If you have good taste in music, your ears will bleed if you listen to this garbage!

Sry for double post but just wanted to say I saw them live a few weeks ago in Fargo, ND and they put on a great show.

Seen them 4 times. manchester 06 download 06 manchester 08 and download 09. they get better everytime. and @ richie tozier who do you think they should have gotten to write a song for it?

Someone like Megadeth, Forbidden or Holy Moses. You know, someone who's actually metal although i'd prefer the soundtrack to be completely done by an orchestra like in the other games.

Trivium fits GOW perfectly in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I f****** love metal, but to have a metal song IN game in God of War...? I don't like this a bit. They should keep the soundtrack to the orchestra alone.

Ughhhh, saw these guys live back in 04 or 05, they destroyed master of puppets in a very very very bad way. Wanted to skin my own penis than ever hear them again.

I wonder if they've finally stopped milking dimebag's death? everytime I'd see them open for a band they would play a bit of Domination and Walk and talk about dimebag just for some easy cheers.

I was listening to their song Insurrection, and thought it would be a perfect God of War song, probably should've just used that one. It fit the series perfectly.

If they put it in a soundtrack on seperate disc, fine, I dont have to hear it. But dont put it in the game, PLEASE !!! Keep the music like the first two. I love Devil May Cry, but the metal techno music was annoying

They shoulda just got some brutal Norwegian Black Metal to do the whole soundtrack, like Burzum hahaha.

Hopefully it'll be more like their earlier stuff - matt's vocals have just got worse and worse with each album

Bad. A$$. Trivium is the new Metallica, and I could't think of a better band to go hand in hand with God of War.
The instrumental Song "The Crusade" I could totally see during a epic boss battle, "A view of Burning Empires" in a cutscene, and "Pull Harder on the Strings of a Martyr" in some sort of chase scene.
