I don't see the point in signing up early to these. But at least this one provides something more than the last beta (where the only added features were being able to eject the disc using the controller and rating games)

While I support your noble cause, I feel the need to downvote it because the only way MS will listen is if gamers vote with their wallets. MS doesn't listen to customers, they listen to anything and everything that drives their profits up.

Point out my grammatical mistakes, you could be trying to change something. And some of those were cleverer than you think, or rather are capable of thinking of.

I don't think Microsoft is going to Cave.

Getting licensed is the only clear wat out of that hole for Datal.

Fighting with MS will just drive their customers batty.

This comment is not clever.

very clever but the point is more to do something with the purpose of affecting change, seriously as entertained as I was by reading that it would have taken 1/10 the amount of time to read a petition. That's all I ask.

You can still use 3rd party memory units just not the "unautorized" memory units.

I signed up for it the first day they were asking for sign-ups, so I really hope I can get in to it. I am a Twitter addict, so anything that has anything to do with Twitter on the Xbox 360 gives me a hard-on.

Cave, shut the fuck up about your greyed out post. It's their console, they can do with it whatever the fuck they want to. They didn't have to put memory card slots on there in the first place. It's like complaining your SNES controller doesn't work on the PS3.

And fucking stop the threadjacking. Idiot.

Cave, you're spamming wrong.

Most spammers spam to trick the stupid into giving them money, or info they can use to get money.

You are spamming for your own post in the same section of the site that contains said post.

How is that going to increase your page views?

Oh, I read the petition. I thought you made some good points. However, insulting people when they reply with something you don't like is a logical fallacy and surely won't win people over to your side. Grow some thicker skin, amigo.

Fine I concede that I went off the handle because I have been working on getting the petition out there for like +5 hours without food or anyone else caring and should've expected more resilience from commenters. goodnight you win, I will leave joystiq alone when trying to get people interested

Honestly the next Gen really should go with just SD cards or something. These memory units have always been a joke and are on reason I left the Playstation behind. Sure back then they were not cheap but now MS is just screwing us with memory unit prices. I've never bought one for an Xbox as I don't need them but it would be nice to be able to plug one in from a digital camera and look at pics without having to stream them from a PC or USB them into the 360.

Now back to the thread. These new features will be cool for a week or so then probably lose much appeal. I for one don't need everyone I went to high school with on FB knowing how much time I spend on my 360.

I can see why Cave is angry, but he's kinda going about it like a 14 year-old throwing a tantrum. Petition? Not the right situation for that.. For all 12 people with the unlicensed memory cards?

MS is pretty evil when it comes to charging fair prices for storage - and limiting how you can share and transfer saved games and other content. I was a launch-day fanboy who was psyched with the 20GB Pro System HD, but it's simply too small for what the platform and XBL demands today.

Upgrading to the 120GB is still $150? That's insane. I was lucky to get the 120GB xbox360 drive at Sears for $50 over the summer as they were clearing them out.

While I'm not a Sony fan, it's pretty cool that I could upgrade the HD with any off the shelf drive whenever I want. Unfortunately, my PS3 HD is likely to stay relatively empty and I'll never need to upgrade.

I just want web brosing and hulu on my xbox.

This social networking integration makes no sense to me. My Windows Mobile PDA-phone with a full keypad is sitting right next to me if I wanna tweet or update my status. Why would I want this feature on my xbox? Text entry on the xbox is hell.

As far as I'm concerned, background downloads and Netflix are the *only* improvements made to the dash since launch!

I have very few games for the PS3, but love the cross-bar menu system so much better.

Alright, you made me look. While it may seem that we've gone off topc, this is *important* for anyone who is psyched about the new update - a good way to pick up the normally $30 chatpad.

For $20 more than just a year of XBL Gold on its own, you get PGR4, the chatpad/keyboard, and another headset (can never have too many). At $60, that is a worthy xbl bundle!

I guess I'm the only one who thinks all these supplemental services that are being added to xbox live are bordering on being COMPLETELY USELESS. Its a damn game system, if you want to add something to it, either make it accessible in game or just put a web browser into the dashboard, seeing that all these services would be readily accessible through a browser. Only downside to a browser is that Microsoft cannot toss in 10 adds per usable service in a browser.

Fix the fucking user interface, dont inject more useless shit and your damn adds into it. Filling the dashboard with more adds and random services wont end in more sales, simplifying it and allowing people to QUICKLY and EASILY find what they want will translate to more people finding stuff they want to use and buy.

I don't think I'll make much use of the update, only because I signal switch on my monitor between my 360 and computer, so facebook is literally a button press away. Plus it's on my blackberry. Still, I do like the idea of being able to find who has gamertags among my friends.

I just hope it only works one way. I don't want every 13 year old I play in halo or SF4 trying to spam my facebook with requests and "u suk" messages.
