why cant I just plug my wireless usb mouse and wireless usb keyboard and enjoy the game????

Why cant anybody doing a fps for the consoles take an example from unreal tournament 3???

why???? they are doing a pc version as well, why cant they just add the mouse/keyb code to the options of the game!!!!!!!

i'll stick with the pc version, but only for the single player campaign. Combat Arms has filles all my needs for modern warfare online fragfest. Besides, pretty sure borderlands will keep too busy to try and hack my way to a private modern warfare 2 server (you know there will be private servers, even if they have to develope a IWNet emulator)

So basically this is for people that DON'T know that you can connect a mouse and keyboard to your PS3?

If the game supports it. Mouse/KB rules in shooters. I am a PC to PS3 gamer and I finally got used to the crappy analog sticks and to only shoot when your reticle turns red.

You can only do that for Unreal Tournament 3, and it still requires having a DS3/Sixaxis on hand to navigate the menus.

So basically, buy all FPSes for PC. Got'cha.

Though, the Xbox 360 controller has a nicer layout for using a controller...I still prefer a keyboard and mouse. STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky are only able to be done on PC for the fact they use practically the entire keyboard. (And they're buggy as fuck, so patches would only be applicable via PCs anyway...)

The FragNstein is much much better, its out now and has a superb build quality. I have no complaints as of yet. Works great with cod4, and is complementing Borderlands quite well. I say pick it up over the splifish model.

So it's cheaper and better than this one? Do you have first hand experience, did you try both on the PS3 or PC?

I do realize that, probably in some sort of firmware, this baby simulates analog input using the optics. But would it work like a normal mouse on PC?

Sounds like a bad ass idea, for FPS games anyway. RTS on the other hand...not so much.

Still, the deal-breaker is the fact it is at 2000dpi. Just, too much for me.

The reviews which compare this to the FRAGnStein ( http://bannco.com ) will be interesting.

After recently upgrading from the FragFX v1 to the FRAGnStein I must say that the build quality of the FRAGnStein is much better than the old FragFX and has high quality feel to it.

With the original FragFX you'd put up with having to mod the mouse to stop the mouse buttions sticking as it was the only plug and play option on the PS3.
Now that bannco have entered the market with a high quality product splitfish could have a tough sell unless they have improved their build quality or lower the price of the new FragFX.

Its $79.99 plus $10 shipping. I don't have first hand experience with the new splitfish because its obviously not out yet, but if its anything like the products they been putting out in the past, I wouldn't keep my hopes up in terms of quality. Every review on their products says the same thing, "feels cheap, plasticy the button don't work well and there's no weight to them" I've been using the fragNstein for about a month now and don't regret the purchase. Couldn't find much info about it on the net before I bought it so I took a gamble. Nonetheless I have no buyers remorse. If anything check out these links. Oh and I've been using it with my PS3 but it can also be used with a PC.
