I don't care what nobody sez: Demon's Souls is awesome.

Visceral is a cool studio name. Anyone who says otherwise can eat a gun.

American Choppers is a show for rednecks.

Dead Space Extraction: sadly, you did not sell.

Wait... no Justin? This isn't the real Joystiq cast!

@pat_boy2008 and cylet

You bet your asses its a good use of the DSG girl. I understand her time is done here in joystiq. But it seems she still has some supporters inside the Joystiq crew. I believe in some months we might some some "overthrowing" in the chair of power around there and maybe, just maybe she'll be back to brighten our days.

I mean, who didn't felt a warm welcoming in the day when you would visit Joystiq and see her head floating about in almost every single post?

A lot of people I'm sure.

Hey fellas, do you release the podcast the same time every single Friday? Since becoming a fan of the podcast recently I've gotten into the habit of checking the site a bunch from work on Fridays hoping the podcast will be up. Unfortunately, looks like it always might be once I'm done for the day :P

Just wanted to point out that Cortana is voiced by Jen Taylor, not Jennifer Hale. Taylor has a way way lower level of Nolan North style proliferation that Jennifer Hale has, the only characters other than Cortana she's voiced was Keria Stokes from FEAR 2 and Zoey in Left 4 Dead. Jen Hale is pretty much lady Nolan North, she's god damn everyone from Bastilla to Ophelia to lady commander Shepard, I agree though that emily rose is incredible though. Hale has more range and able to change or disguise her voice more than Nolan North does/cares to do, but Emily is just way above

There was actually a great cinematic moment in Uncharted 2 where you come across an armored car with an anti-air gun on it strapped to one of the rail cars while you're being chased by the chopper.

Didn't really subvert the trope but it was a great Die-Hard style moment.

Scrolling through the Joystiq, flickering past articles.

Pause.

"Wait a minute..."

Scroll back up and stare for a moment. Something seems off. Obviously a shop because of the fact that it's a podcast post.

Stare a moment more.

Look at all faces and try to hold in a snort, failing.

Guffaws and lack of breathing moments later.

+1 Mr. Grant. That was well played, well played indeed.

Tom Chick was an awful addition. Never has it been painful to listen to a video game podcast for me. Way too many times he took a topic and dragged it on 5+ minutes past where the topic should be taken. And some of the points/topics he brought up were awful.

Real shame because I really think Ludwig did a good job hosting. But I would have tried and shut this guy up every now and then and move onto more important topics.

You won't be missing anything if you skip this weeks podcast.

Chris does a good job at keeping things moving.

I can't think of any previous Joystiq podcast where one person dragged on a topic so long, so consistently.

Why you sticking up for this guy anyhow? Thankfully that is the last we'll hear from him.

Huge discounts sounds like part of a marketing budget if you ask me. And if that helps push units out of the door, I don't believe it should be considered in NPD or even how we personally gauge sales success/failure.

And you Nancies are completely wrong about Uncharted the First: three shots to the torso, one to the head, and any human goes down for good.

Wow, Tom really brought some great insight and discussion on video games to a podcast that has slowly degraded into a bunch of sideshow nonsense over the past year. Thank you Tom, your comments were much appreciated by this listener!

To be even MORE pedantic, a freudian slip does not have to be sexual or related to some sort of primal oedipal urge. A freudian slip is a slip that reveals any subconscious or unconscious idea/desire/etc. So Tom Chick was wrong, and it totally was a freudian slip and my Griffin love remains true and pure.

Tom Chick, the Douche Pretentious Dick.
As words came out I watched the clock tick.
He spoke with spoilers galore,
And through it all was truly a bore.
To hope he never returns, is all I can do,
or next time I may have to throw him a shoe.

Agreed. I didn't particularly enjoy having to turn off my podcast in the middle of my hour long commute. (ipod sits in glove box). I mean the normal guys go out of their way to not discuss spoilers on games over a year old (usually) but now we have to start dodging spoilers on a 2 week old game?? Booooooo.

Love the usual guys, was not a fan of the guest host.

I don't comment often, but wanted to chime in that I really enjoyed Tom Chick's contribution to the show. I wasn't familiar with him before, but I was really impressed.

It brought a different, more thoughtful style to a podcast that I tend to like more for its zaniness, so I can appreciate how some regular listeners might have been put off. But I thought it was a great change of pace, and I'd be happy to have him back on as a guest any time.

I have to agree with MindTheGap76, the interaction between Tom and Ludwig was absolutely epic.
Don't get me wrong, I like the 1st stringers, but Ludwig+Griffin+Tom = (Awesomely Brilliant)^2
Griffin should get over whatever is keeping him from being a regular participant in the podcast and become more frequent on the show.

Thanks for a wonderful discussion on Uncharted 2.

Holy cats, you're absolutely right, Diederich, about Freudian slips. I'd been thinking all along of Oedipal slips! If there even is any such thing. Thanks for the correction.

Also, I think ScottG13 must be an account my mom registered. Hi, mom!

And for those of you who might have had Uncharted 2 spoilerized, my sincere apologies. I hate spoilers. Just hate them. I'm sorry we didn't time it for you more carefully. Ludwig tried to put the kibosh on it, but I kept just having to get one more thing in. Sorry. :(
