Rock Band Weekly: Rob Zombie, Wolfmother and ... 'Daisy of Love'

Harmonix and MTV are billing next week's Rock Band DLC update as a spooky, Halloween-themed selection, mostly due to the inclusion of some Rob Zombie classics and a new Wolfmother set (zombies and wolves are scary, right?). Right? But the really scary part, for us, is the addition of two tracks from Morningwood -- now you'll be able to play the Daisy of Love theme song. Creeeeeepy.

Also, we have to raise a very important issue: How can you have a Halloween music store update with no "Monster Mash?" How is "Monster Mash" not in the Rock Band Store right now? And whatever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

Yeah, Colossal would be... well, colossal! But still, Woman and White Unicorn are nice. I like New Moon Rising. Haven't heard the other two songs yet, even though Last.FM has made it obvious that the new album leaked.

God yes. This slip up happened to me all the time and then i actually started listening to wolfmother, and i never confused them with danzig again.

You guys may have some serious mother/woman issues.

Oh good... I was afraid they were gonna pull out some absolutely terrible Rob Zombie tracks (Educated Horses, anyone?). Will buy.

That was far from his best album, but Let It All Bleed Out would've been awesome to play.

Dragula and Superbeast!!?

After the Queen pack I didn't think there would be much more awesome from Rock Band for a few months, how wrong was I!?

When I scanned the headline, I saw "Zombie Wolf" and thought, yeah, Frank Zappa would be great to have on Rock Band.

Not that I want to play "Dynamo Hum" with my kids.

At least we have Re: Your Brains now, too bad it didn't come out for Halloween, but we can still play it on Halloween.

These songs suck when is Rock Band and Guitar Hero gonna put some REAL music that compliment the game in there DLC, they always put these easy songs in.

While I also don't care for these songs, there are a shitload of excellent REAL songs on both games. Now as far as them being "challenging," I wouldn't know because I still haven't mastered that damned orange button.

if you want to play something hard go play Ninga Gaiden, I'm sick of this morons. Harmonix games are about the music not making combos like a figthing game.

Seriously. If you haven't found any "Real" music in Rock Band and GH by now then you fail at life, and should give up on the music game genre. And I don't need to know your idea of real music to know your taste sucks.

Um, Rock band has become much harder than GH if you havent noticed.

I've been so jones'n for Dragula.

I was actually at a bar last night and they played Dragula, and I was wondering why the heck it wasn't in Rock Band yet; I come home and see this news almost immediately. I'm not saying they're spying on my thoughts or anything, but I AM wearing a tinfoil hat now just in case.

Excited for the Wolfmother tracks. White Unicorn is one of my favorite songs on their debut album, though I do wish they could have given us a different song than Woman (good song, but there are better on the album) but I can;t complain, it's a good song and more Wolfmother is more Wolfmother.

Daisy of Love was the worst show ever put on television.

There are far worse on VH1, I found it to be entertaining, as with most of their horrible reality shows, but there are some I can't enjoy even as a guilty pleasure.

Still, why these two Morningwood songs? I would have liked Nth Degree or Jetsetter. Don't give a crap about these.

I've been listening to a lot of Cosmic Egg, Wolfmother's new album, recently. It rocks.

No Type O Negative in either game for Halloween = ultimate fail. GH getting The Misfits and Gwar ain't bad, though.

WORST RB UPDATE EVER.

The thing is, I LIKE Rob Zombie. I saw him open for Ozzy a couple of years back. GREAT live show. But all of his songs SOUND THE SAME.

I dig that this is a Halloween update and all, but how about some goddamn Pink Floyd???

Hmm, Wolfmother, I haven't listened to much from them but I like "Woman" so I might get that.

One calorie...not spooky enough... I kid. Wolfmother is awesome. Some Misfits would have been nice though, perhaps Slayer "South of Heaven".

the eerie thing is that i was actually listening to white unicorn earlier today when i remembered that its friday and i should check the new update for RBDLC. needless to say i'll be waiting impatiently till tuesday to play that song! it's going to be AWESOME on drums.

Oh, man. If "Burn" was replaced by "Living Dead Girl" it would've been *perfect*.
