Sega lighters set on fire what Nintendon't

Now that there's a lighter in the shape of a Sega Saturn, we think Segata Sanshiro would insist that people start smoking. Through November 6, retailer Net-You is accepting pre-orders on these beautiful Sega Hard Memorial Zippo Lighters made by Banpresto, which feature the likenesses of the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Saturn, for ¥10,500 (roughly $115) each.

That's quite a bit more than you'd pay for the real systems in Akihabara, but, then, the real systems can't get your "just light the bag" charcoal started. Now is time to the 68000 cigarette on fire!

$115 for a lighter seems reasonable.......if it had Mode 7

Some of the stuff you could light with it might make you feel like your world is running in Mode 7.

I'd buy one if there was a Dreamcast version.

Not a north american that is. It's the japanese version of it.

Insert natural joke of about current gen systems generating so much heat they're their own lighters!

For that price the damn thing better play actual MegaDrive games.

Or, maybe they can add an MP3 player attachment that looks like the Sega CD.

Not so keen on the Saturn one, but the Mega Drive one is all kinds of awesome.

The bottom part is supposed to be the Saturn, never saw one in silver though. The one on the left does look like a Genesis. That would be a cool Christmas present.

The Japanese had different colors, but I don't think silver was part of it-just white, smoke, and black if I remember correctly.

If I smoked I would TOTALLY buy that.

The Saturn looks like it has the Eclipse add-on.

Sega and Nintendo started the 'console wars'. Of course, this led to the creation of the 'fanboy', so it's not all good.
