Dead to Rights: Retribution dev diary is loaded with dog fighting

Don't let the headline throw you -- we don't mean the bad kind of dog fighting. We're talking about the kind of dog fighting where well-treated, justice-loving canines attack gun-toting criminals who pose a threat to their master, whom they love and remain eternally loyal to. When cast in that light, attack dogs aren't menacing or controversial -- they're just heartwarming companions (with enormous, razor-sharp teeth).

Check out the dev diary above to see Dead to Rights: Retribution's man-eating puppy in action. Oh, also, there's a human hero who uses guns and other traditional methods of justice-serving, but that's not really as noteworthy, now is it?

Yeah the AI is shit. There's no illusion of intelligence - see first guy shot and 2nd guy slooooowly turning round. wtf. 2nd point, in combat with a group and none of the others attack him at the same time.

It's a shame because the rest looks good. It's not just that AI is bad but you see this from a lot devs - they don't pay enough attention to the *illusion* of intelligence - basically what the player is fighting against. And they really should.

I think the first time I saw FEAR I was pretty impressed because they made it seem like there was something deeper going on. That and the squaddies from half life1 but it's been a while since I've seen that.

For a moment there, I thought it was Sefton Hill narrating.

The game looks like it might be fun, if stealth is properly incorporated.

You have to cut these guys some slack. the first Dead to Rights game sucked. They're trying to come up with a better iteration on the whole premise.

The first Dead to Rights was amazing on PS2 (not on Xbox, controls were weird on the xbox for some reason). The second one I never played because I hear it's pretty glitchy and had a bad story. This one looks really fun. The character running and the darkness is kinda lame but other than that it looks awesome!
