Gears of War 'Delta Squad' getting boxed for UK gamers
NECA's Gears of War inspired figures are heading to the UK in a special Delta Squad box set, according to Electronic Theatre. Originally available in various packages across North America, the special UK release of the Delta Squad package will include fan favorite characters (sans the Carmine brothers) Marcus Fenix, Dominic "Dom" Santiago, Augustus "Cole Train" Cole and Damon "The Annoying One" Baird, as well as new weapons and accessories exclusive to the set.
The series also includes a feature some gamers would prefer to do without: The ability to completely repel the opposite sex if located within 30 feet of your bedroom.

I'm fine with my Master Chief helmet and Cortana artwork, thank you very much.

Oh, and the ODST action figure. I forgot about him-he's in a box in my closet.
Autobot @ Oct 24th 2009 6:19PM
You didn't forget about an unopened action figure stuffed in your closet?
Elaborate your reasoning.
Dr. Bradwart, Dark Lord of the Sith @ Oct 24th 2009 6:21PM
It's still boxed in my closet because I won the thing in a contest, along with that Cortana concept art, among other things. I didn't buy it.

"The ability to completely repel the opposite sex if located within 30 feet of your bedroom."
...unless you're a girl, in which case it has the opposite effect.

I think it works.. I have the 2 figure boxes.. (box 1:Marcus, Baird? & 2 locust, and box 2: Dom, Cole? & 2 theron guard).. Play.com was advertising the box that turned up with Theron as Delta Squad.. took them a month after release to notice it was wrong.. anyhow.. I've not got an 'opposite sex' near my room since Gears of War 1..

That is totally true.

Am I the only one that didn't get it? |:

Having action figures when you're above the age of 15 doesn't seem weird to you?
EX3CUT1ON @ Oct 24th 2009 6:11PM
The same as comics then.

Not completely true : A hot girl I dated over the summer had fun re-enacting the second Ninja Turtle movie when showed her a box of old Ninja Turtle toys - along with sealed ones - when she first came over. Just need to find the ones that can appreciate it.
Probably wouldn't reccomend the first time they come over to watch a movie like I did, admittedly.
Ori @ Oct 24th 2009 6:58PM
Oh, now I get it, thanks (:
I may have to mention that English is not my native language.
yolarrydabomb @ Oct 24th 2009 7:01PM
Marcus looks old in that picture.

"...and Damon "The Annoying One" Baird"
I think Baird is hilarious. 'The Annoying One' is most DEFINITELY Tai.
At the start of every match he says something which makes me cringe. 'Reminds me of my childhood', 'Let's Dance'...
Also, I find (all of the) Carmines massively irritating, too.
Premature ejaculation man @ Oct 24th 2009 7:16PM
I hate Dom. Baird is the best.
Dom is a whiny little bitch which the game wouldn't let me chainsaw in half.
WiredKnight: Keeper of Threads @ Oct 24th 2009 8:35PM
Yea! God forbid any soldier have feelings!

My girlfriend actually yells "BERSERKERR!" every time she see's me
running.
....She wonders why I don't exercise anymore.
Maverick Saturn (Igor) @ Oct 24th 2009 7:23PM
But.....I'm too old for action figures :/
CaramelZappa @ Oct 25th 2009 12:22AM
Bah, I saw the picture and immediately got excited, thinking they had announced the third game.
Asim Fareed @ Oct 25th 2009 4:54PM
uhhhh...... Wot?
I've had the Marcus Fenix figure sitting atop my desk (repelling the opposite sex) since January, bought from either GAME or gamestation.
Erron Kelly @ Oct 26th 2009 7:03AM
Man, Dom is the annoying one. Baird rules. I'd love a Baird action figure.
shadowhowl1900 @ Oct 26th 2009 9:02AM
can we get a working hammer of dawn instead?
