Rumor: Assassin's Creed 2 Achievements and Trophies surface discreetly

Once again, we've bitten the bullet of plotline spoilification for you lot, and measured the believability of two recently released lists of Achievements and Trophies for Assassin's Creed 2. Our initial impression is that they seem legit -- but they also contain references to a number of plot points and gameplay mechanics you may want to remain in the dark about until you get behind the wheel of Ezio Auditore Da Firenze.

this one sounds like a lot of fun:

The only thing that could make this better is if you could kill guards by stoning.

I know there isn't any online play for this game but looking at the trophy list makes me smile. The more games that don't involve days (or even weeks) of online play to get the platinum the better.

Well, not exactly. The feathers (100 to collect) are the new flags. Everything else is pretty reasonably designed and achievable over the course of the game.

frea, its still a hell of a lot better than AC1's several "collect 100+ flags from this zone" achieves :P

buying paintings? whoa.

Interesting .... specialy thinking that he was riend with da vinci ... maybe he can buy a real davinci from a very low price ? xD

seems like a game that gets you platinum with one playthrough and not too much weaving off the main storyline

And when will we get the damn trophy portal update?

I hope there aren't 400 feathers just lying around for that achievement.

I don't really get why achievement leaks are that big of a deal???

because they tell you alot about the game?

Just to let you know the ending (or atleast a part of it) is ruined in the achivements, just a warning...

The trophy list is real, I've seen it with my own eyes comparing trophies with someone :)

Pretty good achievement list, doesn't look like it will be too tough to get 1000/1000 and it looks like it will be fun to get it too. Kinda like Borderlands, pretty easy to get 1000/1000 but it's fun as well.

So we will be doing some building improvements? Crazy.

i guess that's where your paintings go too.

the gameloft mobile (java) version of ac2 is also out. the game itself isn't anything great, but its a spoilerific way of finding out the story of ezio! :P

one of the first trophies is break out of abstergo. i like this because it means we'll be doing a lot more with desmond. probably stealth levels

some of these achievements make it sound kinda like the brent weeks night angel trilogy. anyway im looking forward to this game

@Platy: I can ignore one collection achievement far more easily than 20.

I'm a member at source for the PS3 trophy list (PS3Trophies.org), and I know for a fact that the site is very strict about the lists they publish. They will only post the lists if they:A) Are provided with a PlayStation.com link to the trophy listB) Have the admin add someone to PSN with the game (To verify the list)C) Recieve/Request the list from the Developer/Publisher.These are 100% Legit. PS3Trophies.org FTW.

how the hell if escaping abstergo the first fucking one listed!?

Escaping Abstergo is pretty much the first thing that happens in the game, I think. So it'd be first on the Achievement list.

I dunno... The values seem completely off. Isn't the very first mission when you enter the Animus 2.0? Why would that be worth a silver trophy when collecting all the feathers seems to only give a bronze trophy (which happens to be the same value of trophy given for simply sprinting 100 metres)? It seems a bit off, if you ask me. Of course, people mention that they've seen the lists in person, which seems to suggest that the trophies will be as easy to get as the Prince of Persia ones were...

The feathers achievement is worth less simply because Patrice Désilets dislikes achievements/trophies for the sake of achievements/trophies. Hence the flags in the first game and the feathers in this game. He's essentially thumbing his nose at people who require inane, lengthy, collection tasks in order to be satisfied with their game purchase.

Blargh, why is the world so brown in that pic? It feels like i'm in the dry middle east again :(
