This seems like a stretch. I mean, honestly, yay for new songs but I think there's no point whatsoever in releasing a "Lego" Rock Band.

It's all about the money. They'll continue releasing these new games every few months for as long as people continue buying them. It's really that simple.

@ Jimbo: "Keep releasing these games every few months" ? You must have mistaken this for Guitar Hero.

LEGO is only the second title released by HMX this year. And it definately is doing something different comaprred to Band Hero's "Well it's still technically Guitar Hero...but we didn't want to look THAT dumb by releasing 6 already".

3rd actually. Beatles, Unplugged, and Lego. 2nd console release yes, but not 2nd release by HMX overall.

You have that backwards, spanky. Band Hero was quickly thrown together to combat LEGO Rock Band, not the other way around. That's why 1 of them actually has new content, and I'm not talking about Taylor Swift...

It's so younger kids can play it. This one has a super-easy setting. My 5 year old loves Rock Band, but isn't quite coordinated enough to play it, even on easy. So, for people like me, LRB is awesome. For others, it'll just be a bunch of new songs.

Band Hero was around before Lego Rock Band was announced, but both were announced around the same time frame earlier this year.

It's also a Traveller's Tales title. Y'know, the studio that's worked on the other LEGO games recently (Star Wars, Indy, Batman).

I almost said "Telltale Games"... hah... damned similarity

Yea I'm buying this game, then after I beat it and get a few trophies, I'll export the songs and trade it into Gamestop for credit.

What makes you think he can't, right now, become president of the world with one swift kick to the balls?

Still kinda looks like it but now it looks enjoyable!

I think I recognize a few of the premade characters from the previous games in there, in Lego form. I'm undecided about whether a Lego Dora Sullivan would be an awful idea or an hilarious one.

Can't they come up with something better than just "Lego Rockband"???? I mean, they can just easily release these songs in a DLC and instead they want to milk the shit out of us by having to pay $60 for a "new" game which they basically only added lego toons in it.

45 new songs on a disk that you can export = $50 .... 45 songs as DLC = $90 ... Wanna try another complaint?

Yeah, I'm basically buying this as an expansion pack. As wes pointed out, it's still a savings of $40, minus the (alleged) $10 export key.

Sure, I'm not a huge fan of EVERY song on there, but there are definitely enough to justify a purchase. Plus you can always sell it back to Gamestop once you export.

Probably not going to be the greatest game ever, and its not exactly aiming for a hardcore gamer demographic, but hey, I'll pick it up for $60 including export. Nothing hurts more songs and the chance brick myself.

This seems weird... a game like this would be more fitted to having a "kidsbop-like" soundtrack. I don't think this will sell well at all.
