New LEGO Rock Band trailer will brick your screen
Oh, and a little "Final Countdown" certainly doesn't hurt.

i'm not quite sure how i feel about this
Robert @ Oct 27th 2009 3:17AM
I'm sold, as long as you get to build your own peripheral instruments out of legos!!!
Special Agent Steve @ Oct 26th 2009 10:07PM
This seems like a stretch. I mean, honestly, yay for new songs but I think there's no point whatsoever in releasing a "Lego" Rock Band.
JimboTJones @ Oct 26th 2009 10:13PM
It's all about the money. They'll continue releasing these new games every few months for as long as people continue buying them. It's really that simple.
GewurztraminerX @ Oct 26th 2009 10:19PM
Rated 'E' for Everyone
JEV4 @ Oct 26th 2009 10:43PM
It seems to me it's to compete with Band Hero.
T @ Oct 26th 2009 11:27PM
@ Jimbo: "Keep releasing these games every few months" ? You must have mistaken this for Guitar Hero.
LEGO is only the second title released by HMX this year. And it definately is doing something different comaprred to Band Hero's "Well it's still technically Guitar Hero...but we didn't want to look THAT dumb by releasing 6 already".
Sly @ Oct 26th 2009 11:44PM
"LEGO is only the second title released by HMX this year."
3rd actually. Beatles, Unplugged, and Lego. 2nd console release yes, but not 2nd release by HMX overall.
mietha CAG @ Oct 27th 2009 2:06AM
You have that backwards, spanky. Band Hero was quickly thrown together to combat LEGO Rock Band, not the other way around. That's why 1 of them actually has new content, and I'm not talking about Taylor Swift...
Troy Powers (PSN: TroyPowers) @ Oct 27th 2009 11:57AM
It's so younger kids can play it. This one has a super-easy setting. My 5 year old loves Rock Band, but isn't quite coordinated enough to play it, even on easy. So, for people like me, LRB is awesome. For others, it'll just be a bunch of new songs.
CrashSpyro123 @ Oct 27th 2009 1:23PM
Band Hero was around before Lego Rock Band was announced, but both were announced around the same time frame earlier this year.

JerJer @ Oct 26th 2009 10:08PM
woah. i am unexpectedly impressed with the presentation. though it shouldn't be unexpected considering it's harmonix...
dark_inchworm (stronger than never, ever before) @ Oct 26th 2009 10:59PM
It's also a Traveller's Tales title. Y'know, the studio that's worked on the other LEGO games recently (Star Wars, Indy, Batman).
I almost said "Telltale Games"... hah... damned similarity
That_Guy436 @ Oct 26th 2009 10:12PM
Yea I'm buying this game, then after I beat it and get a few trophies, I'll export the songs and trade it into Gamestop for credit.
mortegro545 @ Oct 26th 2009 10:14PM
Word.
Ricky @ Oct 27th 2009 2:15AM
I was planning on doing the same but this trailer is making me reconsider my decision. The Lego band members look hilarious.
MrSpaceCowboy @ Oct 26th 2009 10:15PM
Lego = Yay
Achievements = Yay
Fully Exportable = Yay
Although this just screams "glorified song pack", I'm still getting it.
Uncontrol @ Oct 26th 2009 10:16PM
chuck norris is a horrible human being
Special Agent Steve @ Oct 26th 2009 10:18PM
Urp, he heard you. Now we'll never hear from Uncontrol ever again.
R.I.P
Deadfaceextraction @ Oct 26th 2009 10:20PM
Oh, he won't be resting In piece. More like pieces.
Uncontrol @ Oct 26th 2009 10:21PM
no i'm not joking read this shit

Uncontrol @ Oct 26th 2009 10:25PM
chuck norris literally wants texas to secede so he can be the president of it
literally
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=91103
seriously he's fucking insane and would probably evict every minority out of the usa if he could
VaultICEE @ Oct 26th 2009 10:43PM
He wants to become president of Texas?
What makes you think he can't, right now, become president of the world with one swift kick to the balls?
JEV4 @ Oct 26th 2009 10:44PM
How the hell did politics stem out of lego's?
War Machine @ Oct 27th 2009 3:35AM
You can build a lot of things with LEGOs, even unrelated arguments out of thin air.
Shadowfax (PSN: u2fan4894) @ Oct 26th 2009 10:21PM
Ironically Joystiq's videos often do brick my screen, must have something to do with Safari plugin compatibility.
Mooninaut [PSN: atayde325] @ Oct 26th 2009 10:24PM
I was...surprised by this.
The songs are good!
I thought this would be a half assed game,
Still kinda looks like it but now it looks enjoyable!
I wanna see little lego people play lego instruments all day!:D
Z. Fred @ Oct 26th 2009 10:27PM
meh.
Kyattsuai @ Oct 26th 2009 10:30PM
I think I recognize a few of the premade characters from the previous games in there, in Lego form. I'm undecided about whether a Lego Dora Sullivan would be an awful idea or an hilarious one.
Vincent060 @ Oct 27th 2009 6:17AM
And I would like to see the LEGO version of Penelope McQueen. She's the one I always pick when I play by myself.
CH3BURASHKA @ Oct 26th 2009 10:32PM
...but will it make me excrete brix?
TheE3Guy @ Oct 26th 2009 10:32PM
This looks super gay
Alton Brown [ XBL: LordToastington] @ Oct 26th 2009 10:52PM
Oh, you're just lovely.
m3nphls @ Oct 26th 2009 10:33PM
Can't they come up with something better than just "Lego Rockband"???? I mean, they can just easily release these songs in a DLC and instead they want to milk the shit out of us by having to pay $60 for a "new" game which they basically only added lego toons in it.
DigitalFirefly @ Oct 26th 2009 10:44PM
It's $50
GewurztraminerX @ Oct 26th 2009 10:52PM
God forbid there be a game geared towards kids
MrSpaceCowboy @ Oct 26th 2009 11:03PM
Won't anybody think of the children?!
Oh wait - they did.
wes @ Oct 26th 2009 11:25PM
45 new songs on a disk that you can export = $50 .... 45 songs as DLC = $90 ... Wanna try another complaint?
Dan Davis @ Oct 27th 2009 1:40AM
Yeah, I'm basically buying this as an expansion pack. As wes pointed out, it's still a savings of $40, minus the (alleged) $10 export key.
Sure, I'm not a huge fan of EVERY song on there, but there are definitely enough to justify a purchase. Plus you can always sell it back to Gamestop once you export.
Nick @ Oct 26th 2009 10:40PM
I shat bricks...
MechaDEVO @ Oct 26th 2009 10:41PM
I just want the LEGO minifigs exported to regular Rock Band. (plus Ghostbusters)
VaultICEE @ Oct 26th 2009 10:44PM
Probably not going to be the greatest game ever, and its not exactly aiming for a hardcore gamer demographic, but hey, I'll pick it up for $60 including export. Nothing hurts more songs and the chance brick myself.
VaultICEE @ Oct 26th 2009 10:46PM
Sentence construction fail.
Sly @ Oct 26th 2009 11:07PM
it's $50 if i remember right.
Sly @ Oct 26th 2009 11:08PM
http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?sku=270399
yup.
VaultICEE @ Oct 26th 2009 11:28PM
"$60 including export."
Sly @ Oct 26th 2009 11:45PM
my bad. didn't see the export.
Das Boot @ Oct 26th 2009 10:58PM
"This Game will brick right in your mouth."
Gun Barrier @ Oct 26th 2009 11:19PM
This seems weird... a game like this would be more fitted to having a "kidsbop-like" soundtrack. I don't think this will sell well at all.
