Why? Because kids don't like "regular" music?

It's designed as a game that families can play TOGETHER. Not just some dumbed down setlist for toddler's.

Just like Band Hero isn't for kids...but rather preteen/early-20s girls.

Yea, but band hero has music that can appeal to the demographic. I just don't see young children seeing any appeal in this game, aside from seeing the legos.

My (5 year old) daughter's favorite songs on Rock Band are "I'm So Sick" and "My Sharona." You'd be surprised what young people will get into if only given the opportunity. They're pretty open-minded.

It's funny. Lego Rock Band's look is obviously steered towards the kids, yet their setlist is made for the older audience (AND WIN). Band Hero has a look for the older audience, yet their soundtrack appeals to .............. I can't think of one age group who would prefer BH setlist.

Wow, this actually looks very good. I loved Rock Band 1, and when Rock Band 2 came out I immediately started getting money for it. I loved both of those, and still play Rock Band 2 very often.

I wonder if the Rock Band 1 and 2 on-disk songs can be transferred to LEGO Rock Band like Rock Band 1 did when Rock Band 2 came out?

Rock Band 2 is still the platform. ALL LEGO RB songs can be exported to RB/RB2 for $10. "Kid-friendly" (whatever the hell that means) DLC can be used in LRB, but as far as I know, that is no list of what, exactly, that is yet.

It's worth it just for final countdown

I'm sorry, but I just won't be able to resist the over-the-top campiness. Day 1 purchase for sure

Now if they would just make lego controllers

Something about "We don't need no education" and "Go on beat your kids!" doesn't translate into a family game... or does it?

I'll probably export, even though I hardly ever pay attention to the backgrounds. I wonder how many games "You Give Love a Bad Name" has been in

If this bad boy is exportable, then I'll buy it, get some extra gamerscore, get my fill of the style of the game, then sell it back. It's a better deal than a pack full of these songs, and, even if I can't get all my money back, I'll still have savings on this. And, I'm liking the setlist so far.

I used to be one of these Rock Band/Guitar Hero lovers. Then I went out and bought a real drum set....

...who is this marketed towards? Is the Lego Brand supposed to just scream "BUY ME, KIDS! I'M EASY!"?

Otherwise you just wasted $whateverrentalscostthesedays + tax
